The Possession of Mrs. Jones
(Really good and funny)
Moby Dick: The Musical
(Horrible. Staring at a wall would be more entertaining.)

broadwaybound, Working is fabulous....you will love it.
It is ridiculous to set a detective story in New York City. New York City is itself a detective story...

Ok... This one tops them all:
A musical called "The Perfect 36" which tells the true story of the days leading up to the final vote on women's suffrage in Nashville, Tennessee. It has only been performed 3 times. Twice in the city it's set (1994 and 1996, I think) and once, it's New York and High School premiere in 2003 at my school whe nI was a wee freshman.
Has anybody else ever heard of this play? cuz somebody earlier posted that there is not one show that nobody else has ever heard of... take a crack at this!

"Take Me Along" based on "Ah Wilderness" byEugene O'Neill
"All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism -- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere. Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen."

i was going to say Sherry but someone beat me. Interesting story about how the score was lost and all.
anyway, two musicals i have done are:
Pom Pom Zombies (really weird. cheerleader eats a hot dog with toxic waste and turns into a zombie then the rest of the town does too. messed up)
Kilroy Was Here (I loved the show. it might have been a bit silly but it was better than Pom Pom Zombies. played the part of Wilcox which was male but the director switched it to female. one of the best comedic parts I have ever played.)

<--- the set of A Midsummer Night's Dream that I was assistant stage manager for during the 2007 season at the STNJ outdoor stage.
-Dre- You must remember all the same that at the crux of every game is knowing when it's time to leave the table... And it's important to be artful in your exit. No turning back, you must accept the con is done... It was a ball, it was a blast. And it's a shame it couldn't last. But every chapter has to end, you must agree.

There's a special kind of people known as show people. We live in a world full of dreams. Sometimes we're not too certain what's false and what's real. But we're seldom in doubt about what we feel.

It is a far, far better thing I do, than I have ever done; it is a far, far better rest I go to, than I have ever known.

I think its very sad of me because I have heard of Zombie Prom, A New Brain, Honk, Blood Brothers, Little Mary Sunshine, Sherry, Moby Dick the Musical, and Closer Than Ever.
I would like to add to the list Radio Gals and Plain and Fancy.

A high school in my town did Honk. I liked it. I thought it lent itself really well to a high school trying to grow its musical theatre program.

"The Woman Upstairs"

I forgot about PRINCE OF CENTRAL PARK and MARILYN. I saw both of them. I kind of liked MARILYN. Did Scott Bakula play DiMaggio?

A TIME FOR SINGING
DONNYBROOK!
JUNO
THE GIRL WHO CAME TO SUPPER
CRY FOR US ALL
LA PLUME DE MA TANTE (even though it ran 835 performances and was nominated for Best Musical)
one of my personal favorite obscure titles happens to be the one-performance flop HOME SWEET HOMER which starred Yul Brynner & Joan Diener. Did anyone here happen to catch the show's singular Broadway performance in 1975? Or had anyone caught it while it was on tour as ODYSSEY?

I dare anybody else claim to have seen 'I, NEPHI'. Yes a musical based on the first to books in the Book of Mormon.
Not terrible a show, at least the actualparts set around the BOM stuff (there is a small structural-plot set in the modern day (gramps reading BOM to grandkids - reading leads into the Nephi I and Nephi II books that take up 90% of the show) and that is annoying and rather preachy). Plus scarily enough the title song's music is creepily similar to 'Hello Dolly'.

There's a show playing in Chicago right now called DEAR WORLD...apparently based on the play THE MADWOMAN OF CHAILLOT.
Anyone have input as to whether its worth checking out? Anyone??
