Glad this got at least a year of running time. Really liked the production overall, amidst some flaws.

Terrible production with a great cast. I figured it would close in early January. A year seems like a great run for Annie.

It has a nice run. I mean, no one expected it to be the next Chicago. At least they will run through the holidays and possibly have a chance to recoup. Anyone know how far they are from doing so?

I predict the Palace will be where HUNCHBACK ends up - not necessarily saying it will be the next production, because it definitely won't. I'm just guessing this is the theatre Disney will want.

I thought it was the averagest show I've ever seen. It's going out when I expected.

I've been told an announcement of what will be going into The Palace will be made in the near future.

I was expecting this to happen, but it had a decent run.

I'm actually predicting that this will be the theatre where the planned 'My Fair Lady' revival produced by Clive Davis will play.

I had never seen a production of Annie before seeing this revival. I hadn't even seen either of the movies. I knew the songs and the basic storyline, but that was it. Maybe it's because I didn't have anything to compare it to, but I LOVED it. I really enjoyed myself, and nearly died from all the cuteness and talent of those kids. The production wasn't extraordinary, but I love the show and I'm sad to see it close.
I also would have loved to see who they'd cast as Hannigan down the line.

It had a good run, but I am excited to see a new show go into the Palace.
Is the My Fair Lady revival happening this season?

I believe THE BODYGUARD is taking The Marquis. At least that's what the plan was.

Alright I'll be the Devil's Advocate: A year run is not a "good" run for a big production. It will probably not recoup, and the Producers may have thought it would be a Long run, (not CHICAGO long, but a lot longer than a year)
It just didn't gel, onward and upward for all involved.

The Palace would be a good theatre if Charlie and the Chocolate Factory transfers, it was rumored to a few weeks ago.

^ They may have to get a different director though because Sam Mendes has a busy schedule. He is directing the Broadway revival of 'Cabaret' and the next James Bond film.

I bet if Lilla hadn't used that god awful accent, the show would have been successful.

Sam Mendes has a jam packed 2014 not only with Cabaret and Bond but also he's directing King Lear at the National Theatre so Charlie I imagine won't happen until 2015 at the earliest,

'My Fair Lady' already has Bartlett Sher directing, so it is most likely happening in 2014.

But whether it will play at the Palace or begin performances in early or late 2014 is yet to be announced.

What about Hedwig? Does Hedwig have a theater yet?

The Palace would be a little big for Headwig.

Personally, I think the Palace is too big for Hedwig. Maybe Longacre(if First Date closes), Booth(after The Glass Menagerie), and Lyceum(if A Night with Janis Joplin closes early)
