JJ: You've vocalized a fear I've had all along . . . if Justin is cast in GV, the obvious comparisons will be made between this new show and the hastily-written, filmed and released From Justin to Kelly. We know Justin (and Kelly) had no choice but to participate in that movie as part of his "deal." It's unfortunate that they are seen, and rightfully so, as "beach movies."

If Justin were chosen for a part in GV, I think it would eliminate any doubt about his singing/acting/dancing skills -- they are top-notch and professional. We've all seen movies (OK, I've seen movies, you all can reference plays/shows) that have made good actors look bad because of poor direction, etc. Thus the case of FJTK. Justin needs a breakout role that can showcase his talents (plural) to non-believers and those who simply don't know (of) him.

And . . . different strokes for different folks. How can a story line about friends in high school in California be good? Referencing 90210 is the answer in itself. While it didn't float my boat, it was a popular show for years. Someone liked it. Many someones. Variety is the spice of life and we each have our turn in the spice rack.

Amneris, Didn't you audition for this show? Why are you so negative about it? Did you witness something at the audition that led you to believe it was going to be a bad production? I've heard nothing but good things about it from people who saw it at Vassar. Even people on this very board who are not fans of Justin said it was a fun show.

ditto to all u said i agree with it all!

i'm sure GV will do well and attract the same fans that like momma mia and movin out! so if it is produced well then good chance it will do good!

even though it is a Beach musical, as u said it is very clear that Justin has a ton of talent and this does show case his Dancing, singing and some acting also!

But those J2K media people will have a field day with this so as long as the show GV is successful then it will only be a cute comment here and there! if GV did not do well then well justin should avoid any beach show or movie at all cost! lol

I do hope in the future that Justin has the offers to play some more Juicy roles like i suggested i can see him in West side story singing 'Maria' ! LOL or in Jesus christ superstar and many more wonderful shows!

GV will do well i think, so if Justin is in it he got good reviews at Vassar so i'm sure that will continue!

I actually liked J2k it's a good rental or cable cute kids musical! music is great and dancing was cute! it's like any other Disney type movie for kids! The press tore it apart, but it did well on DVD sales and seems to be doing good on cable! it's better then Hillary duff movie and Princess diaries was really bad yikes!

if anyone likes Grease then they would like J2k it's more for Kids, but has the same feel to the movie as grease did some!

Playbill says this is "A new musical about friends who take a road trip to California that uses the songs of the Beach Boys."

How can you not like the Beach Boys??

Justin was terrific in the show, although not the lead, he was definitely a presence and would be a good selling feature for the show. There were other, very talented people in the show.

If they hire the cast from Vassar, it will definitely be a hit; these people knew how to rock and roll!!!

actually, my stage parents whom i adore made me audition for the extra experience and im glad they did because 4 times auditioning for mamma mia..., this was the first time i actually got to sing for tara herself. I have nothing against the actual cast or show..it just doesnt hold my desire.

nice to meet you! very true beach boy's music is just soo fun and i actually remember playing spin the bottle to beach boy's music in high school parties!LOL

i had great memories to Beach boy music we played them all the time at our friends Pool parties for our Gymnastics team for the girls and guys team! we had a great time and so that music has a lot of found memories for me in high school! i'm not that old, but it is just great music that never get's old!

I saw the BEach boys' CD at Target on sale i think!

That is nice Lynne good to hear u liked the show! thanks for the nice comments about justin!

FYI... if Justin does this show watch out the cast will have fun with him and get all kinds of goodies and be showered with stuff by Justin fans! cookies candy and tons of stuff i'm sure! i think some Justin fans at Vassar gave some goodies that was for the cast also! Justin got tons of flowers and gifs at vassar and if he goes to Broadway even if his Role is not a lead role his fans will all go nuttso! LOL! it will be a comeback for Justin even in a role that is not a lead and a support role!

FYI...Justin Guarini POSTED today on his Fan Board called 'Jmansworld' a msn board use Yahoo to search for it!

Justin did not exactly say he is in this show, but He did say he is going to the East Coast! LOL! so i take that to mean he is probably in this show? LOL!

He said we will get good news in the first couple of weeks of OCT! he did not spill the Beans, but he is leaving LA to go to the East coast and he said things are COOKing for him on the East!

He said he is going back to where he Belongs on the East coast! He was living in Philly and also in NY going to film school in NY and master classes in lion king! Justin is an East coast guy and i think he is going home so i'm happy for him!

AS Dorothy said in the Wizard of Oz, there is not place like home!

I think the East coast will support Justin more since he is an East coast local guy and to be honest LA and Hollywood suck! People are too fake and Justin is far from fake !

if you want to read Justin Guarini's post to his fans go to Jmansworld and read the post that say's 'just checkin in' his username is JMan! ! one of the long time Justin fans Died and he sent his prayers to her family!

Hey JJ,

I just went over and read Justin's post. Certainly sounds promising but I'm trying not to get TOO excited. That was so sweet of him to think of family of the fan who died. He also said he is working on his album deal and gave a heads up for the new reality show coming up in October. That second week of October mention seems right on target with what we have been hearing about Good Vibrations and hopefully that's the news about the casting we have been waiting for. Fingers crossed. I am heading to New York baby!!!

after what Amernis said that the cast has been decided except for a few then Justin saying he is moving to NY at the very time the GV rehersals will start and he has news coming out first two weeks of OCT!

I can't help myself i am Jumping for JOY and 99% i think he is in GV after reading his post! i could be wrong so it's Not official at all....

But i think it is going to happen! wow!

so when it does i hope in Times square it has a message for Justin like welcome home and welcome back to Broadway Justin!lol

he seems to happy to go back home to the east coast and i'm sure back to Theater and where his heart is in N Y!

i'm all hyped up now and if i have my starbucks mocha with no whip i will really be buzzing around on sugar and caffine and a justin high!

i'm sorry to anyone that get's annoyed with me, but i just have to show my excitement it has been a very hard two years for Justin fans and it's hard to contain my excitement and i'm sure Justin fans will go nuttso also with excitement!

it's like SEA BISCUIT the horse, he was down and out and he made his comeback! I wrote a Cd review of Justin's cd on Beaversonidol.com it's on the 2nd page now i think! I said that Justin Guarini would be the SEA Biscuit of American idol!

I love Sea biscuit and I love Justin Guarini! U gotta love someone that does not give up even when he is kicked in the as$ by hollywood and greedy nasty executives trying to hurt a young persons dream and crush them!

Hollywood has a long history of trying to ruin people once they are done using them, so i'm very glad that Broadway is supporting such an amazing young Talent like Justin Guarini!

gotta love Italian men too! Guarini is part italian on his mom's side!

Little Italy in NEW is great plenty of good places to have Pasta !!! lol

hi JJ ! i found my way over here to say that i agree that justin will do very well in "good vibrations' if he decides to to do it. justin is not only a great singer but he can dance well an has a great personality all good combinations if you want to make it on broadway. i am sure this will give him great exposure beyond the idol crowd and teenybop set and will have all that see him take him seriously as an all around entertainer that he is.

JJ can you show some excitement - LOL!!! Really, I hope this all works out for you and Justin. From what I've heard, the show was a lot of fun and I can't wait to see it. Also, Brian Wilson has a his long awaited album Smile coming out so maybe they are coordinating everything around that and the announcement of the cast will be made soon.

everyone i want u to meet JD! he is a great guy and very nice and a friend of mine from Bolt idol boards and on my small board!

He is a fan of Tamyra gray, Justin, Jennifer hudson and many more i think also latoya and Ruben to i think ! he has great taste in music and talent! LOL

Hello to Kanikane! i no i was not to excited about Justin's post i guess i need some more coffee ! lol... i am a bit more calmed down today, but still very happy to hear the great Justin news!

All his fans via board fans or casual fans have really stood by Justin these two years and not forgotten him! It's a real dream for Justin and even for his fans to see him happy and doing something he loves to do and be himeslf and believe in himself!

How proud can a parent be and i'm sure Justin's family and parents are soo proud of him he is really a true role model and not everyone could handle the kind of stress he got thrown at him and he did not give up when it would have been easy to throw in the towel! 19 and rca were blackballing the poor guy, and he did not cave in !

I think you have to Earn the title to be called a Champion and i do think Justin Guarini is a Champion in his heart which is what makes you one!

I'm an Ice skating fan and Alexei Yagudin said in an interview how he admires people that don't give up ! i love Alexei yagudin he is a real champion himself not only cause his gold medal but how he got there and he had plenty of obsticles and he never gave up !

To be honest, i think what Justin has gone thru and how he has handled things would make a really good Movie! talk about the Ups and downs to say the least and i'm sure more went on then we will ever no about!

I predicted Justin would be the Sea Biscuit of american idol and so he looks to be proving me right! I never doubted he could do it and he is not a quiter he is a fighter all the way!

i'm going to cry now i'm soo happy!

I hope all of the People on this board there friends and family members get in GV if that is what they want to happen!
