I don't know if this counts as an autograph, but yesterday I got a letter from John Lloyd Young, and it made me ridiculously happy.
I recently got my Jersey Boys CD thingy back singed by John Lloyd Young. It read"To Logan John Lloyd Young "Frankie"" He also sent me a little card that read "Dear Logan Thanks for the letter! JLY" It was pretty awesome. I'm now waiting for LaChanze, Anthony Rapp, and Kristin Chenoweth(who's taken over a year), but I understand that they have lives to, so it will take a while.
Hey ClumsyDude that's quite a collection you have there - AWESOME for you! I'm new here, so I'm just checking things out. So far I have the cast of All Shook Up; Neil Patrick Harris, James Barbour and Mario Cantone (Assassins); Chita Rivera; Jm J. Bullock (Hairspray); Ron Eldard and Adriene Lennox (Doubt).
It's a small collection, but I'm proud - and building! I'd love to show a pic (especially the Ron Eldard one where he addressed it to me personally writing "a girl from the 'hood...Ron Eldard" - that was way cool!), but I don't know how to post the pics - DUH! (TechoDummy here.)

Thats really cool! Ok i guess i'll put all the autographs that i have.
I have two autographed pictures of JLY, one of Christian Hoff, one of all four of the Jersey boys and two note cards from john.
Did you just send the inside sleeve of the cd?
And who did you send it to?
I am getting one from my birthday and i would like it autogrpahed.
When's your birthday? I hope you get it autographed. Happy Birtday!!
My birthday is May 29th.
I am sure if I just ask that they will sign it, I will probably ask Christain instead of John this time, I am sure John is sick of me asking.
Yaye! Your birthday is coming up!!! (I get enthused easily, sorry). I can't imagine anyone getting "sick" of a devout fan asking for an autograph. Although the ones that sell it on ebay tick me off! I learned from a friend yesterday that she was waiting for one of the cast to come out of Doubt and finally after waiting for like 45 minutes was told "he won't be coming out, he had an appointment and went out another door..." much to her disappointment. That sort of gets me too; I mean, you know people are waiting there for you, what's a minute or two? Then again, I'm not on Broadway, so who am I to say?

Yeah I would be a little ticked off to.
The Jersey Boys are really good with there fans, I dont know if there sick of me or not, i have sent john like 20 messages,
I mean it's not like he was not writing back, but after I heard the one interview he did and said that he barely has time for e-mail it made me fell bad for bothering him.
I guess i need to just get over it and ask, I asked christian on his guest book what e-mail I should use so maybe he will write back on it, he did befor.
She was since she came in from out of town to see it! I was ticked, and surprised, too, considering I read somewhere (don't know how true it is) that the actors are supposed to enter and exit only the stage door. I'm sure someone will read this and confirm or deny - there seems to be a lot of people on here who really know this stuff (which is totally cool!). I suppose, too, it's the chance you take when waiting at the stage door - but to leave people out there for 45 minutes is ridiculous.
I truly hope you get what you want autographed - that would be so great!
They could have at least Told everyone befor or after the show that they would not be signing autographs.

The actors don't have to go in or out through the stage door. Most theatres have multiple entrances and exits. Case in point: all of the theaters on 44-45th street. Spamalot, History Boys, Phantom, Faith Healer, Caine Mutiny, Three Days of Rain, and Avenue Q. Faith Healer and Spamalot share Shubert Alley; Three Days of Rain, Avenue Q, and Phantom share the same door.
Julia Roberts goes in through the Milford Plaza, while Paul Rudd and Brad Cooper use the alley. Ralph Fiennes goes in through the front door of the Booth while Cherry and Ian use the Shubert Alley door. When Tim Curry was in Spamalot, he would use the alley way that separated the Shubert from the Broadhurst.
For the "Rent" theatre they have to go through the front.
I knew I'd get replies, and thank you all.
Yes, they could have said it from the beginning, considering all of them came out to sign BUT him. Fine.
As for the stage door deal: a friend of mine told me they're only allowed to enter and exit the stage door. That sounded kind of odd to me, but hey. I don't know of another door at the Kerr theatre but the front and stage door so how she missed him, I'll never know.
But, yes, saying something from the start would have been the appropriate thing to do.

Besides for having signed OBC playbills of "Wicked," "Avenue Q," "Caroline, or Change," "The Boy From Oz," and a few more, my most prized autographs are the "Sweeney" revival CD and the memory of getting to utter a few words to Stephen Sondheim and have him actually respond.
Also, a few years back, I wrote Sondheim a letter asking some question or other about "Do I Hear A Waltz?" and he replied on personalized stationery and sent a signed headshot. Those two things are my absolute most prized pieces, and I have them nicely framed in my room.
I just recently started getting Broadway autographs.
Adam Pascal-- Rent dvd and RENT movie poster
Anthony Rapp-- RENT dvd, RENT poster, and his "Without You" book
Patrick Wilson-- Barefoot in the Park playbill
Tony Roberts-- Barefoot in the Park playbill
I have a question.. . how long does it take to get a SASE back? I want to send a letter to Patrick Wilson. What should I request to get signed. I'm giving my playbill to my mother for mothers day, so do I request a picture or a playbill?
