I nearly passed out at the pick'n'mix counter in Woolworths this afternoon! Mind you, there wasn't much left to pick leave alone mix with anything! RIP Woolies.
I lost my voice in september and hoped that would be it for my winter illness, but no! I woke up with the horrid thing on Christmas day =( All better now, if I get ill again I will not be happy!
I had it at the beginning of our production week of panto, caught from one of the guys in the chorus. I was a thoroughly miserable little specimen lying stoned in a corner on flu tablets unable and completely voiceless for a few days. Was reasonably chirpy once we got into the run, by which time I'd infected several other people of course, oops! Have been sniffling a bit this week...surely I can't be coming down with something again already!
I had a bout before Christmas and did my usual trick of taking paracetamol knocked back with a large, neat scotch and then having a steaming hot bath. A GP friend says this is the very opposite of what I should do but it usually seems to work for me.
However the paracetamol were passed the Use By date, which I didn't notice at the time, and so I managed to make things a whole lot worse rather than better.
Lesson of the day: do not use paracetamol that is passed its Use By date.
Being at school there's hundreds of snotty kids just coughing everywhere, which repulses me beyond belief. Then at weekends off to work at the fun family attraction that is Dickens World, where i get to deal with more snotty kids and their even snottier parents...the joys
That shot on top of the page, sounds more enticing than lemsip, probably got more chance of shifting....................don't want to get done for libel.
