How was it as a show? Was it in the Patti Lupone vain where it was more of a one women show with rehearsed dialogue, etc or was it more like "And this next song is..."

He told some personal stories setting up many of the songs, much like Patti did in her Far Away Places show (I didn't see the other one so I don't know how her other show compared.)
I agree with you, that feels really wrong indeed. Well I can kind of understand why the buyer would spend that much on the ticket -- I myself flew to NYC just to see Aaron and Norbert in CMIYC and the trip cost me a lot more than $600. I was seriously planning on another trip to see this show had I been lucky enough to get the ticket. So LOL I'm crazy and I can kind of understand the buyer. But for this ebay bidding thing... I don't know, it just feels kind of wrong to me. Not that it's unusual for people to sell tickets at ridiculous prices (stubhub, LOL), but in this case... ugh.
At the Patti show that I saw (Far Away Places), she was telling stories in the first person about her heritage, history, etc. If those were about a character called "Patti" rather than about herself, she gave no indication of that during the show. I don't know her personal story well enough to know if she was talking about herself or a fictional version of herself or a fictional character with the same name. But it was presented in the same way as Aaron's first-person stories. And for that matter, I don't know his background well enough to know if the stories were real or fiction either, but like Patti, he gave no indication that they were fiction.
