Hey Guys,
This might be slightly off topic, but I thought it would be good to start a thread where we actors can ask for advice, hints, leads, talk about calls, results, etc, with each other. I remember someone at one point thinking this might be a good idea, so maybe it will work. I do have a question to start, and I thought someone might be able to help.
There is a call coming up which I feel I am pretty good for. However, it is on a date when I am currently scheduled to be out of town. Of course, I will email my CV/Headshot/Resume out, but in the interest of saving time between mailing it, having it arrive, waiting for it to get read and then hopefully getting called, how prudent would it be to personally drop it off at the casting office? Since time is of the essence, would this be acceptable. Not to bother the casting director of course, but to leave it with the receptionist, explain my situation and hope for the best. Is this a good idea? Do casting personal mind unsolicited calls or drop offs to their secretary's? Anyone have any good or bad experiences? What do you think?
Thanks!

However, don't expect to be able to hand it to the CD working on the project you're interested in because you'll just hand it in at reception and they will pass it on where it needs to go.
