Back when Adam was in AIDA, I asked him to sign my Rent Bible. I hadn't even seen Aida at the time (it was chance that we were walking by the Palace) and he was more than happy to sign it. On another ocassion after I saw Aida he signed the picture of us from our first meeting, and positively commented on the fact that I wanted him to sign. :)
bumpage to see what went down at the stage door tonight...
how bad was the mob? (bring on the fangirl horror stories/venting)
was there a barricade?
did they even come out?
if they did how long did you have to wait?
did they even come out at all?
how long did they stay & sign?
thanks :)

and I would also like someone to estimate how many people could have been there. I'm hopeing I can stagedoor this show to meet them. My mom is willing to do that for me, but won't see the show again seen as we've seen it once already and she didn't care a deal much for it. Anyway I can't wait to hear back from people who went!
ok i know I'm going to sound soo ignorant for this... so please don't bash me. But.... from what I've heard, there is no real stage door for rent, and the actors just come out of the lobby doors. So if there were going to be barricades like some people are saying... where would they be set up?
Probably off to one of the side-doors.
here's another question:
i'm head of the bc/efa chapter at my school, and past coordinating heads have always tried to get a famous person to come to our gala.. but this year i was thinking about trying to get stars say a few words about the organization on tape and then show it at our gala. i wonder if they would do that or if it's asking too much. it's for a really good cause!
my school was the first to start the high school chapter at bc/efa with joe norton and last year we raised almost $8,000 for broadway cares. now i've got to try to top that! i thought that this would be something new and different to do to get more people in my area talking. hopefully, it's possible.
any thoughts or ideas for me? PM me!

I wasn't there, but from what I heard from a friend, I wouldn't really be expecting much unless they get some barricades and a safe and efficient system set up post haste. Granted, I'm sure the crowd will thin out a bit, as this was the first night of their run, but...not enough that it'll be reasonable.

I was there. There were literally hundreds of people waiting in front of the theatre and across the street. Zero barricades - I can't believe they were so unprepared. There were a few police called in. People were literally descending on the actors, and I could easily see it becoming an unsafe situation for them. Adam signed for a few minutes (and Anthony joined him a bit thereafter) and then left. Honestly, orangeskittles and I had the impression that they gave it their best shot, but it was pretty much impossible for them to do more than they did.
Don't even bother. I have bruises on my stomach from some bitch shoving me into their town car? It was IN. SANE. They really need to come up with a better way for Anthony and Adam to greet the fans, because what happened tonight was NOT GOOD.
I find that very hard to believe. Anthony has always been incredibly nice to fans, often going over and beyond. His middle name should be "yes."

That's weird. I had the opposite experience with him, but it happens I guess.
Anyway, I don't really see why Adam and Anthony would want to sign or take pictures with anyone after the way some people behaved last night. I realize everyone's excited, but the pushing and shoving is really inappropriate and dangerous.
