first off. YOUR CAPS BUTTON WAS ON.
Secondly. I'm still waiting for the proof that he denied his homosexuality? There's absolutely no evidence of that.
His attempt at "disowning" (really? dramatic much?) theatre was an image thing, not a sexuality thing.
That's just your own warped perception. I highly doubt any normal person would believe that was his intention...
I'm still waiting for proof that he denied his sexuality.

Nobody said he did (except for KingKong, who's not a part of this). What you're implying is that it's okay to make derogatory marks about my sexuality because I'm straight.

I'm not implying anything.
That's what you want to believe, though.

For someone so hung up on orientation you sure don't give 2 sh*ts about the people here's orientation. You demand that I'm straight even though I'm bi & demand that Pirag's gay when he's straight. You are JUST like Michael Yo from E! Just because you have talked to him you feel that you two are BFFs & need to defend him at every turn.

Are you two friends?
Whaaaatever. Have fun chilling with TooDarnHot, Sybil. How many other personalities do you have? Is there a party girl one? A butch one, like Tara?

#112re: Adam Lambert's comments re: his musical theater career
Posted: 3/3/09 at 2:07amI think those pictures are gross and he looks like crap in them. They are the ULTIMATE stereotype of the gay community...trampy, makeup wearing, flamboyant, in-your-face homosexual.

Who gives a **** about what he's wearing?! I'm sorry, it's pointless to debate those pictures. Not only is he an incredible performer, but he is also a wonderful guy. Gay or straight, it shouldn't matter! Sexuality is NOT a choice. I would know, I tried to convince myself that I was straight for years before I stopped caring and actually grew to enjoy my sexuality. Those pictures are NONE of our business, anyways. Adam didn't post them. Those sleazy people over at VFTW should shot, as should people who write in tabloids. The only thing we should care about is what projects our favorite artists are working on, not that they shove their tongues down another person's throat.
End of rant.

Posted: 3/6/09 at 4:16pmThis "debate" you speak of has been over for 3 days. Why did you bother bringing it ALL back up only to say that it's pointless? Your rant was pointless.
#117re: Adam Lambert's comments re: his musical theater career
Posted: 3/6/09 at 4:24pmYea...that rant was not only a few days late, but stupid and pointless. What was with the "being gay is not a choice?!" crap? No one said it was. I never chose to be gay, but I did choose NOT to dress in glam-rock attire, be "fabulous", destroy my hair with all sorts of dyes, and destroy my skin with caked on makeup. The debate has nothing to do with him being gay, just the fact that he is euro-trash gay and looks down on musical theatre.
#118re: Adam Lambert's comments re: his musical theater career
Posted: 3/6/09 at 7:06pmAt what point did he trash-talk musical theatre? Talk to performers and a lot them share the same beliefs. It's very "same ****, different day" for them. I'm sorry, no one is passionate about their jobs ALL the time.
#119re: Adam Lambert's comments re: his musical theater career
Posted: 3/6/09 at 7:11pmI mean, I don’t listen to show tunes in my spare time. I can assure you of that (laughs). The musical theater thing was just kind of the way that I was paying the bills. I mean, we all gotta have a job, right?”

Because he has a deep down passion for Channing's "Hello Dolly" CR of course.
Bad decision all around.

The first poster who can point out, using valid evidence, where he SPECIFICALLY "trash-talked" musical theatre will win a cookie!
Go.

TooDy, it is my humble opinion that you should go screw yourself, and here are my reasons why:
1. You lurve double standards.
It's okay to call me gay...because you know me. But Adam Lambert? No sirree Bob! It's okay to ridicule some performers (Alice Ripley). But Adam Lambert? No sirree Bob!
2. You need new jokes.
Alice Ripley! Closet boy! Respect your elders! The same jokes you posted when you were known as TooDarnHot!
3. You have nothing positive to contribute to anything.
Posters like Timey, Dolly and myself may be obnoxious, but we contribute to discussions in a civil manner. When you're not providing a snarky, nasty response, you're either gleefully proving someone wrong or rabidly, creepily defending someone. Why join if you're not going to contribute AT ALL? You pulled this **** when you were TDH. It's annoying.
4. Whenever anyone rebutts you, you simply circle back to your first argument.
Someone calls you out on your rampant double standards? Reminds everyone you're a sad little socky? Asks a legitimate question that nobody asked you to be a part of? Why, simply call them gay, call them a kid, make some comment about how you have a "life" that doesn't revolve around BWW, or restate your original post in different words. All or any of the above will work! Just be sure to use your most condescending tone of voice.
In conclusion, scrape that sand out of your vag and simper away with your tail between your legs before I have to rip you open like some guy named "Enrique" does to Adam Lambert's buttcheeks.
Salt in the wounds.

Of course he didn't trash talk musical theater. Anyone who thinks that is reading into it completely incorrectly.
Could it be perceived as a slam? Sure. But I think he's trying to come off as more a of a pop star - by saying "I don't listen to show tunes in my spare time, let me assure you of that (laugh)", is his way of defending himself against others who have a more mainstream edge, when he is known from the theater world. And who cares if he does listen to show tunes in his spare time? None of us know him personally. What he does don't affect my life, chile. Shooooo.
