Im sure this is old news that Adam Wylie is in the LA cast of Wicked as Boq. But it was new to me and I must say it scares me so. He was terrbile in Into the Woods, why on earth would he be cast again?

He was terrible when I saw him.
But then, I don't like Boq either.
He's a cute kid!!!! He was fine when I saw him in Wicked... and I hope we see him in more things to come!!
I didn't like Into the Woods really, not my kind of show, but I thought he was good. He is so dang cute as Boq. I'm glad to see he is still around.
Do you guys remember when he was REAlly little and did that Oreo Cookies commercial??
He had a recurring role on Gilmore Girls, and when he was gone for awhile to do Into The Woods, his character's absence was explained as being in NY doing a revival of Into The Woods.

Hee- this is how old I am, I read the subject and went "that little kid from Picket Fences is old enough to be in Wicked?"
He was in all the kid movies I'd watch when I was younger. My how time flies...
He is a cute munchkin boy and hopefully he gets more experience and training to get a more powerful singing voice.
He was fine both times I saw him as Boq in Los Angeles. A lot better than some ofthe others I've seen in the role.
I agree with Candleshoe- Noah Wylie wasn't really that bad! acting wise but certainly he can still improve his vocals. I was actually fortunate to see "Wicked" in LA last March, when we went there for my brother's wedding. I met the cast (as usual ) and I think I have picture of Noah Wylie & the cast (if I can find it ) I like Eden Espinosa a lot - she is really good. Megan Hilty- I thought see was doing an impersonation of Kristin Chenoweth. John Rubenstein was good ( luv to see him. I am a big "Pippin" fan ) I dont know why I did not do a review of this musical.. I think I was tired after my LA trip ....and family wedding is a always a "drama.." But one thing I really like is the PANTAGES THEATER- its probably one of the most beautiful theater I have been in my life and ushers in LA were very nice & friendly too (they even told me that I can take pics in the lobby) - that's unheard of in NYC.
For the record : I am not a big fan of Wicked... Ive seen it on Broadway & LA- both times I was not impressed...but I love Idina & Kristin.
I didn't know why I did not posted this before ?

The beautiful Art deco PANTAGES THEATER
Let me make these bigger ! for the sake of the people in the Northeast.
Yes !-There is theater in L.A. (Do you guys remember the joke in "Little Dog Laughed" about theaters in L.A. - "the choices were made ! " soo hilarious

Wow, the style of the interior of the Pantages is very odd. Unlike anything I've ever seen.
It's like living in Metropolis. (the movie.)

JayStar- We are talking about Adam Wylie not Noah Wylie.
The entire theatre is VERY art-deco and it has a theme which I am blanking on right now.

I saw Adam as Boq twice a couple weeks ago (7/11 and 7/13). I actually thought that the guy who played Fiyero (KRISTOFFER CUSICK) was much worse. Krisoffer was so weak I could barely hear him at times, and he hit more than a couple wrong notes (both high and low) along with trying some trills that were just bad. Adam couldn't hit some of the higher notes, but his voice is decent - petite and boyish - but that works (IMO) for Boq. He acted it pretty well too.
We are talking about Adam Wylie not Noah Wylie.
Besides the fact that it's Noah Wyle, *that* is just funny right there!
I agree jay. Of all the NY, LA, Chicago and Toronto theaters I've been in, none of them hold a candle to the Los Angeles Pantages. I read the Academy Awards used to be held there.
Ohh..my ! I was thinking of Noah Wylie !!! youre right- Adam ....
Why was that name stucked on my head ? who is Noah Wylie ?- was that the ER guy duh !
*******
BTW-I got more pics of Pantages.. I am having problems re-sizing it...
Actually the inside is much prettier! (specially the chandeliers) It blends perfectly with the "Wicked" stage with the Dragon and everything.... I must admit that the acoustics sounds good too. unlike the Boston Opera House (which is very pretty but the acoustics sucks)
Yup- The Academy Awards was once held at the Pantages Theater... We also took a tour of the Kodak Theater (in Hollywood) for like $17.00 .. Its so ugly and plain
next to the Pantages (and there was a parking lot to the Pantages too- its like $15.00 - my jaw dropped when the attendant told me its $15.00 to park-sooo unheard of in NYC !!! ) but the area where the Pantages is kinda ...shady !!!!

I had a friend of mine who worked with him in a production before INTO THE WOODS and she told me that he thinks he is all that, and does no need any training and that is good as he is...and that he was a plain rude, and stuck up guy to her.
I saw him in Wicked a few months ago, and I thought he did a good job! He's a pretty good Boq. And when I met him, he was really sweet, and he stayed and talked to everyone at the stagedoor for a while. He was really nice. :)

just reading old posts... This one hit a chord.. I remember Adam back when he did theatre in LA. In fact , he was great in 110 in the shade at the Pasadena Playhouse with Marin mazzie,, Anyhoo... He has been nonstop training since he was a little tyke. Dance, singing, acting etc... my sister took tap with the same teacher out in San Gabriel. He had been going for 8 years!! So, i think your source might be incorrect on this one. I saw his final perf on sunday in Wicked, He and the whole cast was great. It was an emotional performance. megan Hilty did a farewell speech to those who were leaving,,,, Heart wrenching
I saw him in She Loves Me in Long Beach a couple of years ago - the junior clerk role - and cast members there told me he was a great colleague and a good guy.
saw him in WOODS, wasn't that bad.
'member when he was in 'Kindergarten Cop'? "Mister Kimball, are you all riiiight?"
cute kid.
His singing was HORRIBLE in Into the Woods when I saw it. But it seemed more like he was in the middle of an unexpected puberty voice change. His voice kept cracking and shifting down at the worst times. Everyone I know who saw him in it said the same thing. Now he's past puberty. So his Into The Woods gig shouldn't really be a reflection on his current skills.
