Addams Family / TKTS help Saturday performance

All -

Sorry for asking this but been to NYC tons of times but never used TKTS. I always use the discount codes but now "Women on the Verge" is closing I have space for another show. I didn't know if TKTS would still have tix available for Addams Family around 5pm as I am going to a matinee. I really don't want to pay full price for this show. The discount they have doesn't cover Saturday performances. I'll be there January 15th. Thanks for any help or advise you can provide.

I don't know about your chances of finding ADDAMS on TKTS on Saturday. But, I can tell you, having just been in the city yesterday (Wed), it is a ZOO this time of year. Add to that all the snow which they are still trying to remove, all the scaffolding, staging, and barricades in prep. for New Years (which will probably still be there Saturday), and you'll be lucky to move. They were buildng a huge stage behind the TKTS booth so much of that area was closed, including the SIDEWALK where THOUSANDS of people walk. All were forced to walk on a 4 foot wide path--I gave up on that and chose to walk on the street, prompting police officers to tell me (and the hundreds of others doing the same thing) to get out of the street. (Where are we supposed to walk when the sidewalks are closed???)As a result, the horribly planned and organized TKTS booth was almost unaccessable. In a word, Times Square is a MESS!

That does sound like a mess. However, I'll be there MLK weekend which is the 15th so hopefully it'll be cleared up by then.

I think you have a reasonable chance. They had tix available 12/26, which is the height of the holiday season.

Go to the South Street or Brooklyn TKTS if you don't want to battle the Times Square one. The lines are always shorter...if existent at all!
