Posted: 5/13/14 at 4:11pmAre we all seeing the same ads for the same shows here on BW or are these ads tailored to our internet behavior? I only ask because I keep seeing ads for shows I've already googled or purchased tickets for as if that activity translated into the ads I see. Those ads are lost on me because I have already seen the shows and new opportunities are missed because I have to look at ads for shows I've already seen. Just wonderin'

I'm assuming they are smart ads and are based on your previous search history.
I really hate those smart ads because you don't always want ads based on history. The other day I Googled how to fix a running toilet and now I get all these ads about plumbing fixtures.

I erase my history everyday so ROCKY is in my face ALL the time.
BTW - yes they are annoying but I realize that is how BWW generates $ so not really something I think I can complain about.

As annoying as they can be, they pay the bills.
Grin and bear it.

Posted: 5/13/14 at 7:03pmWhat I hate about Hulu is they will play the same ad twice in a row. Although I did find a funny way to freak it out. If I open a second internet window and start surfing during the commercial, it doesn't quite know what to do and gives me an error message. I can then skip past the rest of the commercials.

Good fortune witch hunters, we have one amongst us practicing the dark science of internet sourcery - while I thank him and find his link tickling - wickedness must be punished.

I don't mind the ads on the side and top. I do hate the ones that pop-up since technically, they're not covered by pop-up blockers as they do not open in a new window. I would link to "broadwayworld.com/board" and I can access the board with no problems. However, because of the pop-ups, the link automatically changes to "broadwayworld.com/board#" which causes the screen to scroll to the bottom of the page while the ad comes up. Once it opens at the bottom of the page, it won't let you scroll back up so I have to remove the "#" again.
It's very inconvenient and annoying.
