My complaint about Jersey Boys is that it already played the Ahmanson. Any long-time subscriber will have already seen it.

Other than that, I'm quite pleased with the season. Getting shows like Fun Home, View from the Bridge, and Curious Incident is more than I have come to expect from the Ahmanson in recent years.

I'll be seeing View and Curious. I wasn't able to fit in either of them into my last NY trip, so I'm happy they're coming here. The rest, I've either already seen or have no interest in seeing. Maaaybe Amelie.

Jersey Boys has played LA too much. And the third tier tour just went thru Palm Springs.. and consider the proximity of Las Vegas. There was some chatter last year of Helen Mirren reprising The Queen at The Ahmanson. Maybe that fell through and they had to get something in there.

Is this the same JB that played the Pantages some months back? If yes, I'm not gonna pay a penny to sit through that again. It's just too depressing to see a Tony winner devolve into a community theater level show.

I have heard from a reliable source that the On The Town tour will, unfortunately, not be happening.

At least several of the cast members will be reuniting at the San Fransisco Symphony Orchestra in May.

How do you drop a show as part of the Ahmanson subscription? I know they have the Passport program, but I've never seen them run something like the Pantages Flex packages?

That is why I dropped my subscription years ago. There is generally one "pass" show in most every season. (Bridges of Madison County this year, JB next) However, it's actually worked out rather. Buy really good seats to the "must see" show or two in the season, and then goldstar or even last minute walk up HotTix for the mid level shows, and pass on the show you want to pass.

To each their own, but I really like On The Town. I wonder why it skipped both Pantages and Ahmanson. We normally get shows early in their national tours.
