Pretty good season! I saw Fun Home and Curious Incident and will definitely be seeing them again. I hope Amelie has the same cast with Samantha Barks! Also love A View From the Bridge and would love to see the new staging.

Probably the Roundabout one that was recently off-Broadway and going on an official tour.

Glad to live in LA. The Ahmanson & Pantages seasons make me very happy! Glad broadway can come to my city.

Excited for Fun Home and Curious Incident. Glad they're at the Ahmanson and not the cavernous Pantages.

So the answer is The Fiasco. No reason to be rude.

Not sure why Jersey Boys needs to be in there , but otherwise great season

Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist. Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino. This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more. Tazber's: Reply to Is Stephen Schwartz a Practicing Christian

I have seen 2 major productions of INTO THE WOODS in Los Angeles within the last five years and I don't even live there.

Glad to see Amelie getting another incarnation. I actually thought it was in fairly good shape in Berkeley, though they definitely did need to work on it. Hopefully it will make it to Broadway next season.

I don't have problem with Into the Woods being a part of the season, given that it is a really interesting, creative production and I'm glad more people get to see it. But good lord, this little tiny production will get so swallowed in that huge theatre,

Agree with Dame as well. Fiasco's ITW is the only show I've ever walked out of. Still, if it has a different cast, I may consider watching it. The San Diego/NY cast were so smug and couldn't sing at all. I hope the Ahmanson has a season extra.

50th Anniversary Season??? This is a major FAIL.

Ivo Van Hove's A View From The Bridge - Sept 7 to Oct 16, 2016 - A production that belongs in a mid-size theatre, not in a barn

Berkeley Rep production of Amelie - Dec 4 to Jan 15- A musical without one hummable tune, directed by a director who doesn't have a musical bone in her body. I had the misfortune of seeing this in Berkeley.

Fun Home - Feb 21 to April 1- A chamber musical that belongs in a much smaller theatre.

Fiasco's Into The Woods - April 4 to May 14- This is a scaled-down production that is unfortunately acted by the FIASCO Theatre's actors, none of whom are trained singers. It's one thing to have a vastly scaled-down production but to populate it with non-singers is adding insult to injury. Yes, this will be the same production/cast that warbled in San Diego and off-Broadway at the Roundabout in NYC.

The Umpteenth National Tour of Jersey Boys - May 16 to June 24- To quote a line from Les Miz " Why God why?".

Curious Incident National Tour - Aug 2 to Sept 10- Another play that doesn't belong in a big barn.

I don't understand why the Ahmanson subscribers are putting up with such lackluster seasons. The average subscriber is in their 60's, wealthy and well travelled. I'm willing to bet that 80% of those subscribers have been to more than several shows on Broadway. Why put up with this ****?

"It does what a musical is supposed to do; it takes you to another world. And it gives you a little tune to carry in your head. Something to take you away from the dreary horrors of the real world. A little something for when you're feeling blue. You know?"

Is this the same non-equity production of Jersey Boys that is currently playing smaller venues around LA? Confused why that would be included in their 50th season. Excited for Into the Woods, Fun Home, and Amelie. Was hoping for Gypsy though...

I thought that "Jersey Boys" was Equity? Or are there two tours. Either way, surprised it made it on the list. It played the Pantages about a year or two ago for a month-long run, and I saw it at the Ahmanson ten years ago. Other that that, fantastic season! An exclusive from Broadway, a pre-Broadway engagement, and the last Tony winners for Best Musical and Best Play. That's a pretty good line-up to me!

Jersey Boys is still Equity, running on a Tiered Contract, with a new, slightly reduced physical production which was put on the road last September.

In terms of the lack of vocal skills of the Fiasco Ensemble, Networks is handling the tour, on Category 4 ($698 minimum this year) of the SETA contract, and they held auditions for performers last week, so it is being cast new, with maybe a few hold-overs from the original company.

Not for anything but aren't most of these better suited for the Mark Taper?

It's their 50th season, and the Pantages is set to have a record year- you'd think they'd sprinkle a few unique options.

I have a feeing they'll find room for some season bonus in November or January-February. Even if it's another national tour. The dream will always be Imelda Stuaton in "Gypsy," but I could see a last minute addition, like how this season we got "An Act Of God."

Only complaint is Jersey Boys which should be a bonus option not part of the season.

Into The Woods also seemed a bit early of a return, but I just googled it, 2002 and Vanessa Williams I guess is a long enough time so I won't complain.

I'll probably still pass on subscribing due to Jersey Boys, but will see everything.

You guys are acting like Jersey Boys is such a bad show. It's a really great Tony winning musical. It's not like it's Mamma Mia or Rock of Ages.. it's a tony winning best musical?? I think of it like this.. broadway is coming to YOU, and what is you never get the chance to see the show ever again cause it closed or something?

My complaint about Jersey Boys is that it already played the Ahmanson. Any long-time subscriber will have already seen it.

Other than that, I'm quite pleased with the season. Getting shows like Fun Home, View from the Bridge, and Curious Incident is more than I have come to expect from the Ahmanson in recent years.
