Also, Once Upon A Time" by Donna Summer was one I always wished could be a musical when it came out.
And it was. Many, many times.... in my room as a teenager.
Pedro the Lion has a few concept albums that I think are gorgeous.

I have been WAITING for The Wall to become a fully fledged musical. No clue how it would work but that album was huge for me.

That was also on my list for a while but if it never happens, I am fine watching "The Wall Live in Berlin".
Any word on Aimee Mann's "The Forgotten Arm" adaptation? I'm still waiting for some sort of out of town tryout.
I wholeheartedly agree with the above mentions of Donna Summer's "Once Upon a Time" and Pink Floyd's "The Wall", and to them I would add David Bowie's "Diamond Dogs".
