Has anyone heard when Alex Ko's closing will be? He blew me AWAY when I saw him play Billy back in October and would love to see his closing. But sadly the producers are SO freaking tight lipped about who's going on for Billy. I know, I know, it would be a nightmare with tickets exchanges and returns if they announce one kid and another goes on instead... (although as a fan of the show, I'd like a chance to see all of the Billy's and it makes it tough to plan - as I've now seen Jacob Clemente THREE times!! Would have much preferred to spread it out and have seen the others play it as well!)
Anyway, I would really like to be there to see Alex's last. I literally wept the night I saw B.E. with him in it, every time he danced. I've honestly never seen anything quite that amazing before... and I can imagine that the night he says goodbye to the role, his dancing and performance will be beyond inspiring...

I'm not sure if it's true or not, but I heard his contract has been extended to May because they were having a problem training the upcoming Billies. Jacob Clemente might possibly leave around the same time, and either Daniel Russell or Kylend Hetherington from the tour will step in for a little while, while they get the new Billies ready.

I would expect Alex Ko to be leaving sometime soon. I saw him last month, still an excellent dancer, but you could tell his voice was getting ready to change. He was cracking all over the place.
It appears that tonight may be Alex's last night.
^Per his facebook. I will miss Alex, he was a lovely dancer.
Gutted I never got to see him.
Wishing Only Wounds is in luck. It is actually not his last night. The comment was in regard to his Saturday night, aka last night. He's probably staying until early May.
Yup, false alarm. Alex is with Billy through May.

Alex has been extended twice and only he and the company management know his end date. I'm sure when he is replaced, it will be by a very capable child. Looking forward to the 1000th performance next week!

any word on when his last day is now??? Thanks!!
I don't know anything about his last date but I will say this: I saw him last week and found his dancing to be the most organic of any of the Billys I'd seen previously. I'd always thought that the other Billys were TECHNICALLY wonderful, but Alex's movements were connected to the emotion of Billy.

I traveled from SF to NYC in 2009 expecting to see one of the Tony winners as Billy. I was soooo disappointed when I saw that night was being played by a new Billy with a name of "Alex Ko". In my head, I was screaming, i want to see David Alvarez!!!
As soon as the show started. Boy did Alex prove me wrong. I fell in love with Billy more than I imagined. Alex Ko was astounding. I will never forget it. It would mean a lot to see him on his last day as Billy.
