I heard that Alex Sharp does not do every performance ever week. Is this true? and if it is true then what performances does he do and which ones does his understudy take.

I believe the stand-in performs Wednesday nights and Saturday matinees. That's assuming it hasn't changed since I saw it a couple of weeks ago. (A Friday night show. He was great.)

He's on every show except Weds night and Sunday matinees.

Taylor as standby is terrific. You wouldn't go wrong either way. Both have the fans as "best" but most agree they are both fabulous.

Darn. I loved Sharp in the role, but got tickets so my ds can see the show and was hoping to catch Taylor this time. But we're going to the Weds. matinee, not the evening show.
