Alexa Vega leaves HAIRSPRAY on August 5th.

On a local morning program based in Philadelphia. Alexa appeared promoting HAIRSPRAY on Broadway.

She said she is leaving HAIRSPRAY on August 5th to film a movie and will return to HAIRSPRAY in Janurary.

Megan McGinnis JUST took over a leading role... and one that is on a pink contract no less.. she can stay there til the day she croaks if she wants. I don't think she'd leave that. I DO think magen could be a great Penny though

What a strikingly beautiful woman. I keep forgetting that the Broadway actors in "Hairspray" are so much older than the movie kids. As in "The Nicest Halfway To Retirement Kids in Town."
