Does anyone know if Dame Edna comes out of the Stage Door as Dame Edna or Barry Humphries???

I'm almost positive she comes out as Dame Edna, since she signs that name.. If she came out as Barry Humphries, he would sign it Barry Humphries.

Has Barry/Dame Edna been coming out the stage door or the front of the Henry Miller? When I was there I was at the stage door and everyone signed my poster except for him. I heard from the director and other guests that he left via the front.

I need to go back there before I closes so I can get him to sign my stuff but I have no interest in making more than one more return trip. It took me 7 times to get the whole cast at VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE and far too many for COME FLY AWAY (4x) and ADDAMS FAMILY (6x).

Any info is greatly appreciated.

Barry Humphries does NOT come out as Dame Edna. Why would he leave the in full gimmick once his show is over?
Long story short, he signs "Dame Edna" but he isn't in drag.

Dame Edna comes out at Barry Humphries...but signs Edna's name...

Michael Feinstein also comes out and mingles with everybody...such a sweet guy.

(I know this is sort of a pointless response since the show has closed, but I felt like responding anyhow.)

Edna did often come out and sign autographs during her previous Broadway shows (Back With a Vengeance and Royal Tour) so I think that's why people assumed she would this time. However, what I hear is that Barry broke his traditional protocol and signed for Edna as himself. I've seen some playbills signed "Barry Humphries for Dame Edna" as if to say he's signing on her behalf.

I think it's funny that Dame Edna would "freak" anyone out. Essentially, you're talking about a male comedian who does his act as a quirky female character. The only unusual element of the entire thing in my opinion is that Barry Humphries is heterosexual! lol
