She was never cast as Fantine. She wanted to, however.

Single tickets go on-sale in May.
Aaron Lazar was in South Pacific last year, so maybe he will come back. There really is a lot of talent in L.A. so who knows who will be cast.

I hear it is being staged as a Roseanne Barr/John Goodman reunion with them as the Thernardiers!

Posted: 2/4/08 at 8:55pmEden Espinosa was offered Fantine during the casting process for the Broadway revival but turned it down to play Elphaba in WICKED out in Los Angeles (something she talked about in an interview with Playbill last year.)
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.

She's still young enough to conceivably play Eponine, especially in a concert.
I'd enjoy hearing her sing either role.

Posted: 2/5/08 at 12:38amRobert Evan (Jekyll & Hyde) did Valjean in his twenties. It would nice to see him do it again now that he has some mileage on him and is a father. His "Bring Him Home" in concerts has always brought the house down.
