This sounds satirical, which I can get into. However, I'm waiting for a cease and desist from Smash Mouth.

The writer appears to be a comedic actor and writer with little professional experience writing and producing shows. All power to her, but I just doubt Smash Mouth would reach out to someone who seems to have graduated from NYU 2-4 years ago to handle a jukebox musical with their music.

Just got an email from the mailing list (which I'm still on, thank you very much). They're having a reading of the show a week from today, at the *Davenport Theatre Loft* (because where else). Also, Smash Mouth's account tweeted an endorsement of the show.

Damn!! I wish I had known about these readings earlier. I could have gone tonight, but I didn't see this in time, and I can't go tomorrow. I'm so deeply fascinated by this show. Here's hoping it has some kind of a future, even just another workshop open to the public.
