I didn't know either, you're welcome. I just realized i typed "Bines" instead of "Bynes" hehe.
How does everyon thinks she will do? I think she will do wonderful.
I'd have an opinion, if I only knew who the hell she was!
What was the name of the character she did on her show that was a big fan of Amanda's and always said "please" after almost every sentence? If she borrows some of the traits from that character and uses them for Penny, I think she'll do very well.
Penelope Taynt was her name ^^
Thank you, mateo. The names are pretty similar, how ironic.
I just saw her movie she's the man, she is really funny!
I personally love Amanda Bynes. But I'm getting a little worried about this movie. The casting doesn't really feel right to me. Please, I hope they don't screw it up. Adam Shankman directing......yikes.
Johnboy: She had her on show on a children's channel and then she starred along Jennie Garth("90210") in TV sitcom "What I Like About You", Bynes also starred in box office hits "What a Girl Wants" and "She's The Man"

I love Amanda Bynes! However I agree the casting for the movie's making me hesitant to rush out and see it.
Thanks muscle. I'm way out of the age bracket that would know her.

Diana DeGarmo would have been better.

No doubt she can pull off the comedic aspects of the role, but Penny is a really big belty role, I'm not sure she has that sort of voice. I've never heard her sing.
I hope she can sing. She is a fine actress, I guess wewill just see how her singing goes.
Um I hope she can sing!
She looks the part, but i hope she can sing better than Hilary Duff.

Now, I'm definitely not seeing this movie unless John Travolta quits and they bring in Harvey.
Before
After
People seem to be worried that she cant sing, because she hasnt shown she can or cant in a role before - so we have nothing to go off of. It is a valid curiousity. The only singing I think she has done on screen was in 'the amanda show' which was most likely comic singing and not her tyring to show of her skills.
But my feeling is that Craig Zadan and Neil Meron are producing the film, who also produced Chicago. I believe they have a final say in casting and virtually all aspects of the film. So I dont think they would let her be casted IF they didnt think she could deliver and do the role justice.
Why is she dressed up like a judge and sitting in a student's desk in grammar school classroom? Who directed her show? Salvador Dali?

it was from The Amanda Show - which is a skit show. I believe she's probably doing a judge judy type classroom skit
