Im good friends with Kim and have been since we were at stage school together where she was an incredible musical theatre performer. Working with Girls Aloud (in my opinion) has made her voice far weaker because she is not vocal training anymore, just singing a few lines on the pop songs. However since Girls Aloud took a break she has been training....a lot.

Kimberly's Passion is musical theatre, she loves it and trained hard for it (she was in Les Mis at the Palace, Manchester as a kid).

I have videos of her leading shows like Crazy for You at the Bradford Alhambra where she was brilliant.

If Kimberly is doing this show (which its not confirmed yet) she will do a great job.

I like the thought of Kimberly Walsh playing this role. She's very pretty and she has a decent voice on her. I'd still prefer to have Summer Strallen out of the list that was circulating. However, the fact is she has training but has been busy with Girls Aloud and thus we haven't had the opportunity to see what she can do yet. I say give the girl a chance. At the end of the day we all know Amanda Holden wont be capable of this (or tbh pretty much any) role but we're judging her on her girl band days before we've seen her perform. Now Pamela Anderson in Chicago...

I suspect that there has been a shift in SADM2 position, having previously said in another Shrek post 'Hmmm well im mates with Kim and she aint said anything' to one of wait and see!!

So that's confirmed then and I will once again go on record and say Richard Blackwood as Donkey.

And when I said I had not heard anything its because I had not heard anything. However after chatting with her sister she said she had gone for the role but that's it. Kim has also gone for another London role but it does not look like that's gonna happen

If they must go down the stunt casting route with this show (and it appears *they must*), then I'd far prefer Kimberley Walsh to Amanda Holden as Princess Fiona.

It's still not enough to make me want to see it again though - but other casting announcements may do (particularly if Christopher Sieber gets to reprise the role of Lord Farquhad).

Not bitchy, but you and I share some mutual 'mates' based on your past postings. Not Kimberley admittedly.

It means that some stuff you have posted before does not tally with the truth of the people in question are saying, doing etc at that time. Especially as sometimes the information is only known to the artist involved, agent and/or family. And I have been asked directly if I knew who you were as what was being posted was not correct. Which is why I question some of your posts as fact.

Im not going to get into a who knows who, because my friends lives are private and I wouldnt be much of a friend if I started posting on public forums what they say and do.

Researchers on radio and TV programmes read these boards as they are often too lazy to actually do the leg work. So they give info to the on-air jocks as though it were detailed research.

I noticed on here in the last few weeks a few 'regulars' getting a little bit kurt and offish in their postings!
These posters are only just above my post here!
