This is dreadful stunt casting and reaches a new low in the West End.
In truth, I have seen her perform and was totally overwhelmed by her blandness and underwhelmed by her talent.
For me she is already too old to play this role and lacks the vocal ability.
Much as I like the OBC album, I for one hope the show doesn't happen with her in it.

Im oneof the few people on the board who really enjoyed the broadway production, and was really looking forward to this transfer, but now.....hmmm....not so much.

I thought it was a great show with weaknesses but still very enjoyable.

Yeah Mama, I agree, the show only had two weaknesses - the Book and the Score. lol

Be a great theatre spectacle, I was listening to the cast recording on the way home last night and there is a handful of great songs in there, the rest could be considered as average to poor, I thought the show was good when I saw it on Broadway and look forward to doing the same at Drury Lane regardless if she is in it or not.
Hope Christopher Shieber comes over and reprise his role, as I thought he was great on Broadway.

If this is true it really will be a dark day for the West End. Stunt Casting is all well and good if the person chosen can perform the part as well as a musical theatre actor... however i've seen amateur Millies with far superior vocals than this train wreck. Not impressed at all.

Oh come on! as if. I'd quite like to see Kimberly play Fiona, a lot more than Amanda bloody Holden! Everytime ive seen Girls Aloud live shes been stunning in the vocal department, so theres something she has on Amanda already...! If it has to be one of them, my votes for Kimberly Walsh!

I would put Sarah Harding and possibly Nadine ahead of Kimberley in the vocal department in Girls Aloud

the other girls arent up for the part, and so disgussing how Girls Aloud rank in the vocal department isnt really achieving anything, the only thing that matters is that Kimberly is a marginally better singer than Amanda Holden.
