Now available for Pre-Order. Scheduled to be released on February 26. Was not impressed with this show when I saw it but I am curious to hear what the score is like on its own apart from that dreadful book.

For those who have already purchased the digital version, can you please tell me if there's a digital booklet that comes with it? There's no indication on iTunes-just a listing of 22 songs. Thanks@!

I listened to this on my flight today. I saw the show when it was on Broadway. I didn't hate it as much as everyone else, but it was definitely a very flawed show. The score worked much better in the context of the show. This is definitely not a cast recording I will be revisiting over and over again.

I just finished listening to it. The score is definitely much better on the recording than it was in the theatre but that's not saying much. The songs are still as unmemorable here as they were then.
A few good things did come out of it. The voices are glorious and I do really enjoy the orchestrations. Chuck Cooper is one of my favorite performers and he was given what is in my opinion the best song of the show, Nowhere Left to Run.
Other than that, the only song I'll be listening to again will be the title song.

I kind of like it. I didn't see the show but the score isn't awful. From the reviews I was expecting much worse and I was pleasantly surprised. And the cast is excellent which is the main reason I bought it. I did notice from the list on playbill vault that they left out three whole songs from the first act. With the album clocking in under an hour it's unfortunate that they didn't record all of the songs in the show.

Saw the show. Listened to a few tracks early in the day. Decided to grab a bottle of wine and listen to the rest of it later this evening. I enjoyed what I heard.
