It was an amazing evening. Huge applause as curtain went up. Various standing ovations throughout. Billie Joe and the cast were on FIRE. When curtain went up for guitar encore Good Riddance song, a bunch of audience in the first couple rows were holding up paper signs with a key lyric from he song on the front . Could not see which one, but it caused the cast to burst into tears while singing. Nice brief speeches by the two lead producers and especially Michael Mayer who paid tribute to cast, Billie JOe. Then Michael introduced Green Day who came onstage and played a concert for like and hour. Amazing. Audience stood throughout. All cast an almost all former cast there, onstage, watching the concert from the wings, stairs. At one point BJA pulled Mary Faber to center to sing Dearly BEloved, and she graciously pulled Jeanna with her too,
and shared the mic with her. Billie Joe also gave great speech. Amazing powerful evening.

I loved this show, was one of my favourites that I saw on Broadway. Such a shame that it closed but amazing to hear how brilliant the final night sounded.

A lot of loud cheering but also talk of a UK production from the Producer. I can sleep happily now :)

The signs said "It was worth all the while" and "Love Happened Here," which is what the pink flyers that are thrown into the audience says.
The account of the youtube vid that's linked ^ has almost the entire concert, I believe.
I was in the back near standing room for the show, which was packed, and Michael Meyer was back there with a lot of other people who worked on the show, doing the choreo and singing and chanting along with the cast. The majority of alumni was in the crowd, who got an ovation when they walked in, as well as Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick, Telly Leung, and Lin-Manuel Miranda. I think there were more people, but that's who I saw.
Also announced that the tour's starting in Toronto and they have plans on touring it to Europe and Asia after North America.
