There are a lot of people saying most of the leads' contracts are up in January. Does anyone know if they'll extend? At least until the end of Billie Joe's run, anyway?

I believe Stark is leaving in April and Michael Esper is doing a show at the Public and is going to try and do both shows (no clue how that is going to happen).

I'm pretty sure Michael is just planning on rehearsing for that show and doing AI at the same time, but he will leave before it opens.

Might just be a rumor, but apparently John Gallgher Jr. also has another upcoming project, so he may be departing sometime soon. Hopefully Van Hughes will step in.

I had kind of thought that the producers were using Armstrong's return run as a barometer to see if they can't hold on a little longer.

How would that information help them at all? Attendance when he's in isn't a gauge for when he's not in.

I wasn't talking about attendance. I was talking about how much his being in the show will help out with the box office. We all know how stunt casting works. They bring in someone who has a name to boost revenue to help a show hold on financially a little longer than it would have been able to otherwise.

I don't see how this is different then any other show. We all know that American Idiot isn't doing the best as far as box office numbers are concerned. So, it wouldn't be a shocker to find out that they are using Armstrong to see if they can get better box office numbers to see if they can hold on a little longer.

Are any incoming new shows looking at the St. James to be in?

Jujamcym's Roth seems to be in love with "American Idiot" and would rather have them at the St. James than have it empty. I can see it going until the end of their current advance sales (May 1st).
