It's also worth noting that a lot of the reason the show has been nearly sold out is because of the $20 tickets they were offering (which I believe tonight was the last performance for). If you look on Telecharge, for performances next week there are tons of seats available still. So not sure if any of those will be sold as rush or not, but it certainly seems likely they may have more available.
^ Seconded!
Tried to rush this afternoon (around 12:15pm) for the evening performance and they only had 3 tickets, Row F or G, far house left, so they were partial view. Glad we didn't accept them after reading some previous experiences.

Planning to go this Saturday. Will report back. Are all rush tickets house far right or far left?
Got on rush line a little before 8 am and was 8th in line. Line got pretty long before 10 am so i suggest getting there pretty early to make sure you get a ticket! My seat was house right and on the ticket is was not listed as restricted view but it was a little restricted nothing that bad though!
I also rushed today! I got there at about 12:30 and got the last ticket last row orchestra center right next to the light booth! It said obstructed view but the booth only blocked the bottom house left corner where nothing really happens! It was really a great seat!
Has anyone tried rushing since the show opened? Was wondering if the seats have gotten any better.

I rushed on Friday with two of my friends. We were about 20th in line, and we got Orchestra Right, row N, sets 24, 26, and 28 (all the way to the side). I was in seat 28 and my view was great, I barely missed anything and they were quick entrances and exits.
I rushed yesterday (Sunday). I got there at around 10:30. I didn't count it out exactly, but I was roughly 5th or 6th in line. The box office was supposed to open at noon, but for some reason they opened it at 11 and sold the tickets early.
Ochestra, Row O, far house left. I couldn't see the stage-right wall, but I didn't miss anything as far as I could tell. I generally prefer when shows give me rush tickets that are a little closer, but beggars can't be choosers, I supposed. It was a perfectly acceptable distance from the stage, but for a bizarre show like this, I really think the experience of being very close would have been more compelling.
However, I did actually enjoy the show. It was was bizarre in a wonderful way, IMO.

For people who have seen the show from far house left/right -- do you think it would be worth sacrificing proximity and picking seats in say center rear mezz (last few rows)? I haven't been to this theater before so I don't know what rear mezz is like.
I know that for a show that uses projections heavily like Curious Incident, people have told me that the cheap center rear mezz seats are actually not bad deals...would that be the case with American Psycho?

The view from the center rear mezz in this theatre is excellent. I have seen the show twice and both times I have sat in this section, and I never felt like I was missing anything. Facial expressions can be clearly seen along with all the projections.

I read that once the rush tickets are distributed in the morning, that other rush tickets have become available closer to show time. Has this still been happening? Thanks for your input!
I would recommend center rear mezz over far sides of the orchestra for this.

I also would recommend center rear mezzanine but be aware those seats are kinda tight for someone fairly tall. I'm 5'10" and was uncomfortable up there. The view was amazing though as it's a smaller theatre.

Part of me suspects that the seats that were being sold closer to showtime are now being given away in the lottery instead. I tried grabbing a rush seat last Saturday two hours before curtain and was unsuccessful. And while I know one attempt doesn't give anyone that much to go on, I still suspect the lottery is impacting the availability because it seems unlikely that the producers were trying to offer even more discounted seats than the generous number they were already giving away. I'd be happy to be proven wrong, though!

I showed up at 6:45pm for a 7:30pm Sunday show. They said there were no rush tickets but the lady said "the cheapest ticket I can give you is $45 for rear mez." I bought the ticket and the seat was great; nothing was obstructed and during intermission I moved to an empty seat in the third row of the center of the mez (this show is clearly struggling to sell tickets... or maybe it was just an anomaly because it was Mother's Day??). Anyway, the corner of the ticket said "lottery" so I'm not entirely sure what that means.
Point being, you'll probably be able to get a reasonably priced ticket if you just show up to the box office before the show.
Just FYI: I rushed this morning. Got to the theater around 9:20 and was 13th in line. No problem getting tickets at all. Got the last row of the orchestra (S), seats 17 and 19.
Ok, experts, please help. I'd like to go back to see the show again this Friday; I'm perfectly happy with mezz (was there twice during previews and was satisfied with the view). What's the cheapest way to make this happen? $140 on their website for mezz seats?? EEK! I'd love some tips on a cheaper way to see this show again.
There are several discount codes out there. Playbill.com Theatremania.com TravelZoo.com All seem to have the same discounts. You are way better off to print the discount code page and take it to the box office to buy your ticket. You'll save $10-$13 in fees by doing it that way.
I got front row centre orchestra on Sunday for the evening show, was second in line at 10am (the girl infront was getting matinee)
bargain!

$69 for mezz might be hard to beat. Sincere thanks for the info!

I can't help but wonder if it's a different situation for Friday shows. Still, that's a helluva seat!

I did rush on Sunday. Got there at 11:07am. I'm guessing the box office opens at 11am on Sundays. Got Row K Seat 8 which was better than my discounted $79 Row K Seat 23 I got for 3rd preview. No one was there so no clue if there was a line or not.
