Timote is correct, but Women In White won't be here until Spring 2006. Until then, another show, which shall remain nameless, is trying to slide in...

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

I had heard the Minskoff as well, because the producers specifically asked for that or the Gershwin (the nerve), because of the size of the stage.

Hmmm. Perhaps I am confusing myself with Minskoff and Marquis...

I have seen the Woman in White. Without any disrespect to those who love the show, I don't think it will be very succesful on Broadway. I can't give any specific reason, i just...don't.

the day the notice for "La Cage" went up,
someone involved with "Le Stat" said they had booked a theatre but couldn't reveal it cause a show was still playing there.

I don't think Wicked's going anywhere this decade.

Hm, I forgot all about Lestat... I'm assuming thats a large-scale show, needing a large theater... Depending on when the plans for its opening, the Broadway might very well be open (Mambo Kings).

I heard THE WOMAN IN WHITE was definitely getting the Minskoff?

I don't believe ANYTHING is 100% done.

When Woman in White was going to open Novemeber, '05, it had booked the Minskoff, but the show is going to open in the spring at the Marquis. The Minskoff is being held for another show.

I saw WIW in London and thought it was fantastic. It has a couple of problems that should be dealt with before it reaches Bway, but i hope greek musical fan is wrong that it will not have a long run. Given the success with musicals like Light in the Piazza this season, and the ongoing sucess of Phantom...(for the tourists), i think the public wants another ALW. I think they were just saying the needed a large space like the Gershwin, (calm down Wicked obsessed), the set is very cool, and needs a stage with a relativley large width and depth, of which the Marquis would be perfect

By couple of problems you mean the score and the set? The score is unbelievably dreary, monotonous song bleeding into monotonous song with barely anything to distinguish them. And the set is an insult, horible animation projected on to constantly (and a fair amount of the time pointlessly) moving screens.

Nothing precious, plain to see, don't make a fuss over me. Not loud, not soft, but somewhere inbetween. Say sorry, just let it be the word you mean.
