While the woman deserves a vacation, since she's not just a popular star, but also a Tony-winner for the show, they ought to get a "star replacement." The Weisslers are good at that, so why wait?

Posted: 8/1/13 at 11:07pmBeen told she is in until Sunday. I find it very wrong of her. She doesn't stage door and is taking a month off. I can see a week, but a month? Kind of sick of her anyway. I did however, enjoy her performance when I saw Pippin.

"Wrong" of her? At 66 years old, performing a physically challenging role 8 times a week, plus all of the press events that they've been doing, the woman must be exhausted.
Plus, who are you to judge when you don't know the whole story? There are a plethora of reasons why she may need a month off. And if the producers gave her permission to take that month off, it must have been a compelling reason.

I understand that it may be a bit disappointing to not be able to see her but at her age I certainty don't blame her. Patina had to take a few days off also. Both women are probably just exhausted.
