You'd think, having an entire 7 years of working in NYC theatre, he would realize that the performers don't have to come out and spend time with the audience members.

Or that someone who is Ms. Martins age, or gave an exhausting performance, would rather conserve her energy for the next performance. Or get something to eat, or maybe spend time with her family, or have a personal life

But, no. She must be a terrible person because she won't say hello to him after a performance.

I guess this answers that DataLounge gossip rumour that was buzzing around as to "which actress would be taking a "leave" from her show this month, never to return"

If people are complaining that Andrea Martin is a diva, then they clearly have never dealt with Tovah.

Lolol. TOVAH FELDSHUH. Yes, I would say she's pretty good.

Martin probably has a film or TV offer and agrees to sign for another 6 months if they'd let her out for August. That's how it works, kiddies.

Just came from the show, was chatting with some of the staff. Yannick is also taking a few weeks off the same time as Martin. They have added Preston Jamieson to the cast, but with Orion still out and Yannick leaving (possibly), they are still short on heavy man. Hope Preston does not get hurt.

Only Olga is back. Kelsey is still in for Lolita.

Maybe Tovah is going to be her replacement when her contract is up.

I loved Martin in Pippin, but I'd really love to see Tovah.

I remember hearing Seth Rudetsky saying on his Sirius XM Live on Broadway show that Andrea Martin was scheduled for some vacation time very soon. He apparently knew the identity of her temporary replacement, but was sworn to secrecy. If anyone knows something definite, I think it would be Seth. from RC in the blue city of Austin in the red state of Texas

Ummm Lolita (or some one who looks a lot like her) was in last night.

Edit. I just looked closely at the insert in the Playbill. They changed the color of Kelsey's hair.

Oh Diva, I guess you can't read correctly. This was my post:

"Matt, no actor/actress starring on Broadway, off Broadway, or any other stage anywhere in the world, owes you anything. Stage door is something certain actors do. Fans aren't entitled to meet people after shows. You paid for the show. Nothing else. She is great in the show, focus on that, and stop disrespecting Ms. Martin.

You aren't better than anyone else because you have been a on a message board for ten years. End of story. Have a great week!

Since the show started, Andrea had scheduled time off for part of August (I think it's just for a couple weeks). When I was there last week in standing room, Tovah was in the back rehearsing the show and the usher confirmed that she was filling in for Andrea for a couple weeks sometime in August.

Yep. Not the entire show, but several times throughout, in particular during the finale. She was mimicking Andrea's actions, which is what prompted me to ask the usher if she was filling in for Andrea...

I actually didn't know it was Tovah - when I talked to the usher, I asked who it was.

I was speaking with the staff on Sat night and YES, She stands in the back and practices. She is also is reported to go down stairs to the bathrooms and sing aloud during the show. Looking forward to Tuesday. I will miss Ms. Martin (and Yannick) for a few weeks but it will be fun to see what someone else brings to the role.

Namo, I don't know all about that. But I have confirmed with several regulars to the show that Tovah has been seen in the audience, SRO and seated for the last couple of weeks.

I spoke with staff on Sat night. They said she is out for 3 weeks. along with Yannick. So I can only assume that she is out from this week or next until September 3rd (the date I have been told she is returning).
