Andy Karl's replacement

On the LBB last show video they said that it was Andy and Natalie Joy Johnson's last show, when I looked on IBDB, it didn't have a new Kyle/Dewey/Chad, but they have Bailey on the replacements list. Did he leave, and if so, who is his replacement?

He left...his replacement's name is Ven Daniel.

It's all on LEGALLYBLONDETHEMUSICAL.COM.

Ven Daniel has a GREAT body...fantastic chest...but Andy Karl's portrayal of the characters were better.

Ven's got a nice set of arms too. there's some Broadway Bares pics of him from last year's show on the site somewhere.

He's yummy!

Is it just me or does Ven Daniel's picture on LEGALLYBLONDETHEMUSICAL.COM kind of remind you of that dreamy tasty confection known as Channing Tatum? I'm totally down for a little eye candy but I'd also like a good performance to go along with a gorgeous body, and from some of the other comments I've read on other threads Ven Daniel is pretty much a mediocre actor. Oh well he's HOT that's gotta count for something right?

Ven, now has two Broadway credits under his belt and a butt load of regional credits also.
The guy is a great dancer and can actually sing, his rapping in LEGALLY BLONDE is impressive.
Andy Karl made a splash in this role, Ven is quite capable and the costume designer "lost" the shirt for GRANDMASTER, nice choice,
Next up, that BROADWAY BARES wardrobe malfunction hottie, Eric Hatch in for Paul Canan, now that's a hit!
This show sure generates.

Don't believe anything bad about Ven as Andy's replacement.. He was amazing! We are all entitled to our opinions... but when you are a fan of someone, it is never easy to watch their replacement!!! Go see it... Go see him!!!

I thought Eric Hatch was going to be on the tour and that Rusty Mowery was replacing Paul on Broadway

Right you are.
But they are teaching Hatch his part and the show as Eric is Dance Captain on the tour
And will do the B'way for a while.
Rusty will take over Paul's "track".

The Grandmaster in 'What You Want' always has a blue/yellow shirt on. Now it's just the neck tie without the shirt.

A good friend of mine saw him and wasn't impressed. Said he had a GREAT body, and was good in the Grandmaster Chad role, though his rap seemed a bit forced, and that he was "okay" as Dewey, but that as Kyle, he was a complete mess. Not charismatic, not sexy, and definitely not charming or "scene-stealing" as Andy was. I'll go see him eventually (not high on my priority list with all the good shows closing soon), but...I don't have a lot of faith after hearing that review. I have to say, judging from the pictures from Bailey's put-in rehearsal, I definitely agree that he's not very sexy. He's very built, and muscley, but totally not my type at all. Oh well! Hope everyone else is enjoying him.

A few of my friends went last night and said Ven was awful and that he didn't even get a chuckle in the trailer scene.

Eric is a vacation swing and Rusty takes over Paul's track this weekend.

Yes, the no shirt during the "What You Want" rap was a nice touch...I just kept looking at his chest and arms the entire time...his rap was definitely not as good as Andy Karl's.

And the trailer scene was dreadful...all he has is his looks.

I saw him at the matinee on Wednesday. I did not like Ven's Grandmaster Chad at all. I didn't find him charismatic and his rapping sounded really aggressive. I guess the loss of the shirt is to compensate for being barely tolerable? He was okay as Dewey, his line readings were fine but because his stomach is so ripped, he didn't really get the laugh Andy did when he sucked in his stomach.

I HATED his Kyle. He reminded me of Channing Tatum without the charm. His line readings were so awkward and I personally didn't think he had any natural chemistry with Orfeh. To me it seemed like she had to go overboard with the physical interactions with him to make it believable. I didn't find him attractive but his dancing was competent. I actually did not laugh at all at the "I've got a package" line which I know inherently is a stupid line but Andy, Jason and Matthew all seem to make the most of it.

^ Maybe because Andy CAN make it look like he has a beer belly. Not really the same when it's done by nothing but a giant muscle.

That was exactly my point. Ven is so ripped, it makes it impossible to do the joke. Not exactly his fault but it definitely takes something away from the scene.
