To be fair, when I saw the news I thought, "Oh Cinders will probably start a thread." But I'm also a long-time and devoted lurker. Frankly, I'm surprised someone beat ya to it.

There, there Cinders I could tell you were teasing. After you've been on these or other boards a little while, you pick up on a few tips with lurkers and trolls. The biggest giveaway of all is to see someone join the board the same day they post, just to troll and rattle your chain.

Except I just realized she's playing Columbia and not Magenta. I kind of wish she was Magenta.

You guys are so sweet! I remember writing on another RHPS board "I want them to cast two kick ass Broadway ladies as Columbia and Magenta!" and I was trying to not mention Annaleigh, because I had a feeling that she would be Columbia. I also prefer Magenta over Columbia in terms of character, but I think she really will steal the show as Columbia. It's honestly a perfect fit. Plus, if they stick to the stage opening, she'll get to duet with Magenta on the opening number. Also, this starts filming March in Toronto, in case anybody was interested. :)

I first heard this news by opening this board and seeing the thread, and the last post was from you, Cinders. I thought "Oh, she must be so excited."
I think this is great news. I have only actually seen her in Sylvia and I LOVED it. Now I'll see anything she's in.
I agree, though, that Magenta would be better. Her verses during Time Warp are my favorites.

I am VERY excited! Like, get this to me now! I can't wait to buy the DVD and the soundtrack and everything! By the way, I'm a boy. Common mistake. I think I'm going to change my profile picture to an image of Annaleigh and I so it happens less.

Ooops, sorry. I do think the association comes with your profile picture, but ultimately who cares? Boys, girls... we're all humans. :)
I'm constantly torn by my need to be grammatically correct and my hesitancy to use gendered pronouns. I'm fully in favor of a gender-neutral singular pronoun since I can't just bring myself to use "they" for a singular person. We should just make up a word. If it was good enough for Shakespeare...

I'm so insanely excited! Personally, I think Annaleigh is more of a Columbia. Either way she will knock it out of the park! Not trying to hijack the thread, but any ideas for Magenta? One that just come to me that I think would be wonderful is Lesli Margherita!
