Heading to NY on the 27th. I definitely want to see ANNIE since I know the next time I'll be in the city the show very well may be gone. With Faith a couple weeks into the run and Lilla being gone for a while (plus the tail end of August), what time would be the "safest" for rush? My friend would most likely get in line for us (since we want to see the show the 27th). Thanks!
Marla: I have to go sing about a life I never led.
I would say a two-show day would be the best day for Rush (obviously) . I went a couple Saturday's ago and was about 40th in line and I got a GREAT seat in the orchestra. I was there at 9:30. To be totally safe on any other regular (one show) day, I would get there at about 8:30, no later than 9:00-9:15.
I went yesterday. I arrived at about 10:15, and there were about 10 people in front of me. The box office opened at noon (despite the fact that the website says it opens at 11:00 on Sundays). About 20 people lined up behind me (some of whom weren't getting rush). I didn't stay behind to see how many got rush tickets, but I know I wasn't the last to get them. The tickets were in the orchestra "boxes." Partial view but close to the stage.
