Posted: 8/20/14 at 4:07pmConsidering the show hasn't even opened, it's doubtful if anyone, including Ms.Chenoweth, is concretely aware of if she will be on vacation 10 months from now. However, since she is a critical darling, and May is when tony voters see shows, I think you're pretty safe.

Unless the show extends into the summer, I doubt she'd have any vacation.
Though you could ask her on Twitter. She talks to fans a lot.

Really, you're concerned about the vacation days of someone in a show that is nowhere near an opening? Those of us older than 15 (I think that's the average age on here) know that anything can, and usually does, happen before an official opening.

Like Cary Rae Jepsen and Fran Drescher's vacation dates were announced before they started (They're celebs, sooo...) and Ramin Karmlioo's away dates were announced after the box office opened

So, due to summer classes and doctor appointments, the only time we can go to NYC is June 13-14. Who can I ask to see if Kristin is scheduled to perform on those days?

I'm a Roundabout subscriber this season so they answered my email. Kristin is committed to the show through the original close on July 5th, with no scheduled time off.
So it appears that she is free after July 5th. Will she stay with the show for extensions? Since Roundabout has a new play assigned to the AA theater opening in mid-September, they can only extend for a few weeks more.
IMHO, Kristin will finish the run unless she is committed to be somewhere else right after July 5th.

They canceled the show Tony day, and she is out the night before so her understudy will go on then for her.

IMHO, Kristin will finish the run unless she is committed to be somewhere else right after July 5th.
That's really going out on a limb there, I guess we'll just have to develop a wait and see attitude.

I rarely know if someone is being sarcastic here or not.
So maybe you mean that it's obvious that she will finish the run if it's only four to six weeks longer. OK, but we also know that she has been working regularly in films, especially animations, and she is very likely committed to more film work this year, and she also begins a long US concert tour in August with first stop Wolf Trap.
You might get an answer if you tweet her. She does a lot of twitter.

Kristin, Peter and director Scott Ellis did a radio interview on WNYC yesterday. They talked about the extension (and Scott Ellis denied a FURTHER extension past July 19), so I think they would have mentioned it if either of the leads would NOT stay with the show for the extra 2 weeks. Also, since the extended dates are already on sale they would have announced a cast change right away.
I think it's fairly safe to say that the cast will remain the same.
As of vacation days, I confirmed with Roundabout a while ago that Kristin doesn't have any scheduled vacation days. Of course that was long before the Tony hosting gig came along, so who knows. But I would assume that if she HAS to miss any performances besides the June 6 one there will at least be a few days notice, and I think the risk is higher for matinees in the week before?
