Just what the world was missing, another CINDERELLA adaptation. Didn't have enough what with R+H's currently playing and EVER AFTER coming up. This should do really well.

I'm hoping they adapt A Cinderella Story into a musical and then get Hilary Duff to reprise her role. The only quality Cinderella adaptation. (sarcasm)

It's playing at New York Theater Workshop as part of their season. It's not like it's really competing with the Broadway musicals here.

Thank God there aren't two musical adaptations of the same work playing, one on Broadway and one Off-Broadway. It would cause a rip in the theatrical space/time continuum and all theatre as we know it would cease to exist.

Or...people can produce what they want when they want like anything else and as usual, the public will decide what stays open based on ticket sales. So, what's the big deal? Sounds like bitching for the sake of bitching to me. Unsurprising.

I'm pleased and I know I'll see it. I love pretty much every incarnation of the story and will always see new ones.

Don't forget La Cenerentola (Italian for Cinderella) is playing at the Metropolitan Opera this season.
