I've been under a rock for a while now so I was just wondering if Sunday had been extended anytime recently.
And what are the chances that the show will last until at least August?

That's exactly right, Yero.
The original was supposed to last thru April 27th, it was later extended (thanks to RAVE reviews) to June the 1st, and has since been extended once more (thanks to wonderful folks over at Roundabout) until Sunday, June 29th.
Because of schedules being what they are, and autumn being the time to bring in the arrangements for PAL JOEY, don't expect this one to extend (AGAIN) thru August. I can see EARLY-AUGUST, but that's that... Hope this helps!

Posted: 4/17/08 at 11:19pmI hope it extends again, for selfish reasons. I want to be at the closing-night performance. However, June 29 is also the Pride Parade!

Damn, husk, you certainly are a "charmer." Where did you learn to sweep a lady off her feet like that?
I saw SUNDAY last month and it remains the most emotionally-engaging and stirring musical-theatre moments in my life to date.
I plan to HipTix it again next month; with a goal to see it a third and final time on its Closing Night.
Pride is every year. But this will be my first Pride in New York.
This "big tool" is looking forward to both.

Thanks so much you guys. I asked because the last time I was here, it seemed like Sunday had extended twice in a relatively short amount of time, like within two weeks, so I was thinking that maybe it had extended four times since then, lol.
Hope it lasts until labor day. That would just be loverly.

Posted: 4/18/08 at 8:52pmI hope it extends to labor day so I get a chance to see this on broadway. Its one of my favorite shows of all time and the things I have heard about it make me want to see it more and more so im saving one day open in my trip in case it extends so i can buy a ticket.

Posted: 4/18/08 at 10:40pmIf SITPWG does get extended until Labor Day, will the original cast stay on? I suppose it depends on it's success at the Tonys, but I distinctly remember that Jenna mentioned in the past that she had prior commitments and would not be able to stay long with the show. It would be a shame if Daniel and Jenna could not stay until the end.

Unrelated, but thanks Jay! The greenery and cherry blossoms reflected in my friend's sunglasses are in full-explosion at Prospect Park (Brooklyn).
The once frigid and bare limbs of the deciduous trees are covered in dime-size green buds... leafs ready to celebrate!
I suppose the truest difference between SF (my hometown) and NYC (besides the kindness of its people) is the clear-distinction of one season to another.

Anyone know if Michael Cumpsty is still out?
I saw on the board he was out on the day I exchanged my tickets, and he was still out when I saw it several days later (Wednesday).

Posted: 4/21/08 at 2:14pmI really hope it extends. I was hoping to see it again, but won't be able to before June. One viewing of this exquisite production is simply not enough to take it all in.

cumpsty is still out. i think he may be gone permenently because there was a new insert announcing paul schoeffler as a new jules/greenburg understudy. not sure what it all means.
LOVED the show, by the way. so unbelievably beautiful. evans and russell are totally brilliant.
