I see it taking taking either the Hirschfeld if they so choose to close Curtains with the departure of David Hyde Pierce or the Broadway since The Color Purple is kind of on its last legs with its stunt casting (I do hope they bring Lotoya London before it closes). Is the Schoenfeld big, because I'm not sure how much longer A Chorus Line will play?

The Hirschfeld doesn't have the stage space for a production with a huge set.

I doubt that the theatre landlords are going to offer DreamWorks their off-the-beaten path theatres like the Nederlander or the Hirschfeld, both of which as have been stated, are too small for Shrek.
If you've seen a Tim Hatley design (like Spamalot or Private Lives), his shows always seem to have a LOT of set. Think big.

does the Imperial have the stage space for it? Osage will have closed by then.
i guess that's a stupid question. I predict the Broadway.

Hirschfeld? Mm, that's asking A LOT.
I don't see CURTAINS closing anytime soon either...
I'll go with the Broadway or the Schoenfeld - assuming TCP or ACL close up shop sooner than later. We shall see. Whatever the outcome, I'm rather excited for SHREK.

Billy Elliot is moving to Imperial.

Yeah, seriously.
Don't look to the Imperial to hold SHREK.
BILLY ELLIOT's due over here come September, and surely it'll have a long and healthy run.

>I'll go with the Broadway or the Schoenfeld<
The Schoenfeld is also too small. It's generally been used for plays, or the occasional musical with a unit or minimal set.

I would love to see Oprah's reaction when she reads that her show has issued a closing notice.

The Schoenfeld is far too small. I would have to vote for the Broadway as well.

The Nemo show at Animal Kingdom is actually better than some of the stuff on Broadway right now. It is spectacular!

Oh my god yes. Been back twice and it's so hard to maneuver. So many random levels.
