If they want such a large theatre, why are they trying out at the 5th Avenue in Seattle?

Broadway or Palace, yeah. ETA: Yes, because I was the fifth person to post that a show might someday go into the Palace, I am anti-Legally Blonde. LMAO. Time for HX to go on ignore.

young frank tried out there too and they got a bigger theatre.
but the broadway seems to be the most likely since blonde will probably get a boost through fall with the reality show.

I see Miss Amy Lynn Shapiro is again predicting doom for LEGALLY BLONDE.
Maybe she's just trying to pile up the bad karma for when the reviews get a stab at her lyrics.

No. YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN tried out at the Paramount Theatre, which is significantly larger than the 5th Avenue.

According to the website I am seeing, the 5th Avenue is a 2000+ seat theatre.
http://www.5thavenue.org/about/rentingthetheater.aspx
And CryBaby tried out at La Jolla which only has about 500 seats and it is going into the Marquis which seats 1600.

Not the house space. The stage space is quite small at the 5th Avenue.
I heard its looking to go into New Amsterdam Theatre because there is talk about poppins going.
Disney has a 99 year lease on the New Amsterdam. There's no way they'd give it to Shrek.

>I heard its looking to go into New Amsterdam Theatre because there is talk about poppins going.<
This is absurd. The New Amsterdam is operated by Disney and houses their shows. Shrek is being produced by DreamWorks. As the film at least took some swipes at Disney, I don't see it being housed in a Disney controlled theatre. Nor is there much talk that I've heard of Poppins going.

I have heard that Shrek will have a very large physical production, and it doesn't sound like it will fit into the Hirschfeld.

So, just because Rent is closing that HAS to be the theatre it goes in.

Nobody said it HAS to go there- it was one persons suggestion! Calm down
A young actress with Noel coward after a dreadful opening night performance said to him 'Well, i knew my lines backwards this morning!''
Noels fast reply was ''Yes dear, and thats exactly how you said them tonight'!'
