Maybe actually get A Chorus Line and Dreamgirls in there? C'mon, Bennet Estate!

Others would include "There You Are"/"Don't Quit While You're Ahead" from The Mystery of Edwin Drood.

EDIT: Now we get into the "Lost" argument. Phantom, Rent, and especially The Producers could HARDLY be considered "Lost."

I don't think they put still-running shows into B-Way's Lost Treasures.

If Percy Blakeney were in Les Mis....

Percy: Sink me! If it isn't Javvurt!
Javert: Zsah-vair, it's pronounced Zsah-vair.
Pecry: But it's spelled J-A-V-E-R-T Javvurt.
Javert: Repeat after me Zsah...Zsah....
Percy: Oh! Zsa-Zsa! Like the Gabor sister! Well I personally have always prefered Eva.
Javert: (Looks for gun)

24 Hours A Day - Golden Rainbow

It would be nice if the numbers from Ed Sullivan found their way to DVD

I believe the Bennett estate is waiting for the DVD release of the Dreamgirls movie to show the Tony clip. They've made it clear that it will never be included in the Broadway Lost Treasures series (and the same may be true with the A Chorus Line clip).

Yes... Ruby Keeler and cast with the "I Want to be Happy" tap routine from NO NO NANETTE. Also I recall in 1972 Helen Gallagher and Bobby Van did the "You Can Dance with Any Girl" routine.

Liza doing "City lights" from THE ACT
Title song from "They're Playing Our Song."
The complete Sondheim, Kander & Ebb and Jerry Herman tributes from the 1984 Tony show. (Chita nd Gwen's brief reprise of "Nowadays from BLT One comes from here.)

I would rather they put out tapes of the full awards shows season by season but i guess only a very few would buy them.

I recently got a DVD recorder and have been dubbing all my Tony Awards tapes to DVD and it has been great fun re-watching these old shows. So far, I am back to 1990, but I only have shows to 1982. Anyone have any Tony shows prior to 1982?

Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!

I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com

They should also have "3500/Let the Sunshine In" from Hair.

Oh, by the way, they already did How to Succeed...

You can check what was broadcast by year at https://www.tonyawards.com/en_US/archive/ceremonies/index.html

Anything with Bernadette Peters.

Anything from A Chorus Line.

Is anything from ACL available on DVD in any form(besides the bad movie version)??

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

I'm pretty sure the estate is real tight-assed, seems to strictly keep his work out of the public eye which is so frustrating because for one of the most enthralling choreographers, we would all appreciate some exposure to things that probably won't be seen for a while

Well, a clip from some television show featuring the cast of ACL performing "One - Finale" is on "Broadway: The American Muscial."

Well, I did check that website, and in the 1989 telecast, Larry Kert sang "Being Alive". I don't see why not, they always show the clips from '71 for the older shows.

The 1986 Sweet Charity revival didn't really do a performance, because that was still when there was one revival category for both musicals and plays. There was a showtune medley on the '86 broadcast in which Debbie Allen performed a little bit of I'm a Brass Band. (But without any boys, rendering it pointless, IMHO...) I'm still waiting to see the Sweet Charity number Chita and Juliet Prowse did one year that was supposed to be on BTL II but didn't make it.

I have the '78 and '74 Tonys, and I'd love BLT to include the Dancin' cast performing Sing, Sing, Sing - though they probably won't, since they included the version from the show Fosse, which wasn't really lost, in my opinion! I'd also like Charley's Place from Over Here!, which was on the 1974 broadcast.

Other numbers I'd love to have in pristine DVD quality (and in some cases at all!): Beat Me Daddy Eight to the Bar from Big Deal (1986); Brotherhood of Man from the H2$ revival (1995), Angela and George Hearn singing By The Sea from the 1981 broadcast, Doin' The Production Code from A Day in Hollywood/Night in the Ukraine (1980); Dance at the Gym from Jerome Robbins' Broadway (1989); the Winter Garden salute from 1975; One of the Boys from Woman of the Year (also 1981); Turkey Lurkey Time (1969); and, for its camp value, Cher badly lip-synching My Heart Belongs to Daddy from the 1982 Imperial medley...
