I need a modern recording of it, OBCR just doesn't cut it...

I know there are pictures of Leona Lewis in the recording studio with ALW recording 'Memory'. No words on if it's for the album or just a single. I saw the show last night, and the vocals were really good.

I hope they put out a Cats revival cast recording. Leona Lewis version of Memory is chilling.

Is ALW the most recorded Broadway composer? How many recordings of Jesus Christ Superstar, EVITA, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Sunset Boulevard and Cats are there already?

I swear I remember ALW saying that this production would be filmed, so I can't imagine he wouldn't also do a CR.

I think Sondheim and Richard Rodgers have been more-recorded, but Webber is definitely up there.

The remastered ALW cast albums sound pretty good; especially "Sunset Boulevard"... I wouldn't be a bit surprised if we got a new CATS recording. Can't wait to see the reviews tomorrow night and Monday...

The remastered Sunset Boulevard has mistakes on it where background sound effects continue on for much longer than they're supposed to like the crickets chirping after "Girl Meets Boy" which irritatingly continue on well into the next scene which takes place inside the mansion the following day. There's another point where a rain sound effect continues for far too long. Neither of those issues are present on the original CD release. The packaging for the remaster is an improvement but I can't stand listening to it.

I think it's gonna end up depending more on:
a) reviews
b) word of mouth
c) ticket sales after opening night

I still haven't listened to the second side of the OBCR, so, no, I'm not anxious for a recording of the revival.

I'd love for one, but only if it were complete

Well, so far reviews are mixed to no end. So...word of mouth and ticket sales will probably be our main factors, mainly the latter.

Reviews seem to be beyond awful, but I saw it Friday and thought Leona's vocal of the song were beautiful. I do hope they release a recording of it
