We saw it this afternoon & throughly enjoyed it.
Is it great theater - no. It is what it intends to be - a mindless piece of fluff that entertains. People next to us wanted to exchange their tickets since Buckley was not in it. I only brought up the V/V analogy for those who see a show solely based on a name. I do not see how Buckley could have done better than Jana Robbins (who is also listed as a producer) . I can see her assuming the role full time if it lasts until after Buckleys scheduled departure. It is like a superior movie romantic comedy. The only fault I had with it is that I figured everything out rather quickly( as did Mrs R) but it did not diminish our enjoyment of it. If you are feeling low, this show will pick you up. We have it an 8 out of a 10. We have seen far worse that critics raved about.
The cast is first rate but besides Robbins, I must single out Jimmy Ray Bennet who plays a number of roles sometimes chewing the scenery & mugging while doing it. The set was very functional but I could not get over how a lawyer has no phone or computer on his desk. I know the desk doubles as the bar set but even so.
All in all, an enjoyable afternoon at the theater. See it if you can.

Also enjoyed the show, did miss Betty Buckley but Robbins did a wonderful Job, nice getting the producers point of view in the role, she should know how it should be. I thought Christy Carlson Romano was a real stand out.
My only complaint was the women next to me who kept complaining how Betty Buckley was out, how she should have been told when she bought the tickets and mumbling under her breathe during the scene changes, stupid, stupid. I had to refrain from telling her to shut up or just leave, opted for a dirty look instead, the husband picked up on it and told her to hush. By the way, IMO, I thought the scene changes were down tactfully and ran smooth. The woman complaining was a total arse, just my opinion. : )

I saw the show at yesterday's matinee. Both Buckley and Scolari were out but Janna Robbins and Josh Davis were absolutely excellent as their replacements.
I enjoyed the show. It's not Tennessee Williams but I had more than a few good laughs.

Ugh! What drek. Saw it last night.
One has to wonder why Buckley, Watkins, and Scolari are even involved in this. It certainly isn't going to further their careers.
***SPOILER***
The idea, that lying about having cancer is somehow a premise for comedy is beyond me, let alone the possibility of incest. I felt like I needed a shower after seeing this.
Ugly set, horrendous costumes, ridiculous videos used during scene changes, and some extraordinarily bad acting, writing and direction make this a must see...if you're someone who likes to see train wrecks.

Monday night is their press night. Opening is Thursday.
I loved the set. They did very interesting things with video.

"They did very interesting things with video."
If by interesting you mean that they were only used as a distraction during the countless number of pointless scene changes then yes, I would agree. Otherwise they served no purpose whatsoever.
