jealous???
of what?
I think it's extremely overrated and has a weak score.
It's amazing how people make assumptions just because I don't like something. You don't know me... so we will not make judgements. thank you very much.

Yankeefan - unlike many bitter theatre queens on this board, I only harbor a desire to be involved with productions that have "above average" potential.
GLORY DAYS is overrated and I dislike the material. It's that simple.

I must hate every show on Broadway, then!

They need to change the title to Glory Holes and capitalize on the titilation factor.

HAHAHAHAHAHA! Fantastic! On a side note, what is this show about? I've heard nothing of it.

Well, when I read the plot synopsis of Glory Days, about 4 friends reuniting, I said:
"Which one is gay and when in the show does he kill himself?"

Wow Rotel and Theatreislife, you should be more careful about what you say. Whether it is a joke or not, that's a horrible thing to say. Take it from someone who's been through both ends of the spectrum, production crews work 10x harder than the actors involved in a production. That's not always the case, but I've found more often than not...

darling... no. I sweep up all that money you spend on your Broadway trips and I keep it. It's a great living.
sondheimgeek, you speak the truth. I have more respect for the maintenence workers and the janitors of the theatres then I do for the stars or writers. it's amazing how much a simple "thank you" brightens their day. everyone should remember that.

Posted: 4/6/08 at 8:57pmSondheimgeek, the reason I responded to theatreislife's comment was because of how Fiercey516 is coming off. He has been here 2 weeks and just comes off as very self important. Came on and did that posting where he cleared up rumors on possible future productions and then got called out on his mistakes. Has taken shots at several shows like Billy Elliot and Glory Days and just comes off as wanting to consider himself an insider when he's probably got little power in the industry. I by no means was trying to indicate that maintenance workers don't work as hard or harder than anyone else in the industry. Rather, the laughter came from the thought that someone who's coming off as so insider about everything might just be sweeping floors of a theater.

Where do I start?
I have been here two weeks. Very good! You can count. I could be here two years. It wouldn't change a thing, sweetie.
Self important? I'm not too sure about that... just spreading the joy and love of musical theatre.
I did come on here and clear up rumors! That's true. I will defend myself, even though I don't need to. I am associated with the revival of "The Wiz" and I am associated with the upcoming production of "Spiderman". I am NOT involved in the readings of "CMIYC". Thanks to Mr. Shaiman, I learned my sources were not reliable. I apologized to the BWW members and moved on.
If I could, I would take many more shots on Billy Elliot and Glory Days. Are you telling me that you have NEVER criticized a show? You have NEVER taken a shot at a musical? Wow... I commend you.
I do not intend to come off as an "insider". I simply work in the industry, therefore my knowledge influences my opinions. And I will tell you this -- I have swept the floors of theatres. Have to start somewhere, right?
