I think there is a great possibility. It makes sense.
BLACKBIRD, critically lauded MTC Off-Broadway American premiere play closes on June 3rd after an extension.
Broadway MTC show, LOVEMUSIK, runs until June 24th. What do you guys think?

Posted: 5/20/07 at 12:43pmI don't know, but I certainly hope there are rush tickets available this week...I'm even considering spending real money on it, that's how interested I am.

A griping play, every penny is worth it for Blackbird.
Though I didn't have to spend a cent on the play, but sat first row, right in the middle!

Don't think it will happen.
Yeah folkyboy, that makes sense. Becuse EVERYTHING on Broadway is of a quality that off-Broadway never sees. PLEASE.

oh i didn't insinuate THAT. i was just saying i try and see everything on Broadway for every season. the only reason i couldn't see Blackbird was due to monetary reasons. it had nothing to do with one quality versus the other.
if i felt like it wasn't up to par then i wouldn't have discussed bringing it TO Broadway. i've only heard wonderful things about the production.

Posted: 5/20/07 at 7:32pmBlackbird really isn't Broadway fare. It wouldn't do well if it transfered.

Posted: 5/20/07 at 7:39pmI agree that BLACKBIRD is more of an off-Broadway audience. I think it's meant to be that way. Enjoyable play, but a transfer to a larger house might hurt it. People who want to see it can go see it just fine now.
