Anyone else conflicted for the Tonys tomorrow night?

A tv show, fantasy or otherwise, is not the be all and end all for me. If it is for you, great.

You can watch it, the Tonys or whatever you want. We are dvring Game and watching it after the Tonys. If you wish to do it differently, knock yourself out.

I enjoy all types of TV shows but do not get hooked on any of them. We watch them and than wait until they start over again next season if they are not cancelled. Play's reasoning re skipping the commercials is at least a valid reason . Everyone does what is best for them.

Enjoy whatever you watch tonight.

I am first going to watch the pre=show on line if that works out - with the "less important" (hah) awards..and then switch to the CBS telecast.

But then I probably will switch to Game of Thrones an hour later... while the Tony's are being recorded on DVR (which I DVR anyway even if I do watch the whole things live" so I can watch it again)...and then catch up.

My reasoning being I REALLY want to watch both tonight..and frankly, you have to be awake to watch GOT to have a chance to follow what's going on..and if I wait until later tonight, I will probably not make it. And if I don't make it tonight, half my office will be talking about it tomorrow and it will be impossible to stay unspoiled.

But I will be excited enough to stay up late to watch the end of the Tony's with no chance of me dozing off.....so that's what I plan to do. But you know what they say about the best laid plans...so who knows for sure.

Cannot get that into a show to worry about others knowing more about it than me. I no longer work but even if I did, TV is not the be all and end all for me. If this makes you happy, great.

More people are concerned about imaginary things than things happening in the world around us. This concerns me more than what happens on TV but I guess it is ok as a means of escape from it. As you get older, you will realize this.

Sorry to get off the subject. Enjoy whatever you watch.

I've never really gotten Game of Thrones (some comic recently called it soft-core porn with a hundred years of backstory) but I can understand the conflict. When most people go into work tomorrow, it's safe to say more people will be around the watercooler chatting about those friggin' dragons than Ring of Keys. I know I'll be trying to get in Silicon Valley and Veep and the Tonys before bed.

I think we can all agree to thank whoever created the DVR, where we can watch more than one thing on delay. (And I'm sure the Tonys can thank the DVR, because with VCR I'm sure more often than not, with three things to watch and only two options, they were the dumped one.)
