"Katrina" and I in the Green room
In my fan photos is me as Fritzy in the most amazing piece of theatre I have ever had the pleasure of seeing let alone being in. It was called Murder With Your Mocha and was a Comedy Murder Mystery. I played fritzy the hyper perky sample/pastry maker.
BurgerTown. Did the show for a summer dinner theatre in 2004 and then the writers decided to put it up in Chicago for a month. One of the most memorable experiences of my life.
First pic: Final poses. Me in the maroon all the way on the left.
Second Pic: "Jingle Wars." I'm the pirate.
Third pic: "Miss BurgerTown."
Sorry the pics are so big.

Eirka- You're with Edward Hermann! I'm slightly too obsessed with Gilmore Girls...
Ok, enough threadjacking... of my own thread.
I was in the world premiere of "The Crystal Princess" in when I was 14 at my community theater. It's great fun originating a role, even if you never get to do it again.
I just performed in the U.S. premiere (the show had a short mounting at the National in London the year before) of a new children's musical called Jeremy and the Thinking Machine. We did it outdoors in an amphitheatre, and we had this crazy set and wonderful costumes that they didn't let us keep.
But here's a picture of this crazy show. I'm the one in the pink.
loooots of color!
I was in an original revue about 10 years ago in Los Angeles, called "In the Name of God, or Honk If You Love Satire!"
The show (believe it or not) was a spoof of organized religion throughout the ages. Some of it worked well, and some parts didn't. But it was risky, which made it fun to be a part of. It was produced Off-Broadway about a year after that for a limited run, but I was lucky enough to be in the original production of it and had several songs to myself. We had a small ensemble cast and all played various roles in sketches and musical numbers. It was a lot of fun, and I'd love to do something like that again sometime.
Oh!... and I got a nice mention in the Times! And an agent, to boot. So I guess the show was good for me too.
And Erika... your photos are absolutely stunning! You too, I might add.
I was in a new family musical by Jerry Bock entitled Danny and the Dragon. Bock was so wonderful to work with and he autographed my LPs of Fiddler and Fiorello.
I also was in The Mandrake (musical; aka Better Being Bad), The Three-Cornered Hat (musical), Unhappy Buddha (revue), Dalby and the Sleeping Prince (musical), The Christmas Present (play), a workshop of Actor, Lawyer, Indian Chief (aka Looking West) and Alternative Music (play).
whether or not they were original is still a matter of opinion, but i was in the first production of several shows.
I too have been in several world premieres and workshops. It's so invigorating to create a character with no preconceived notions or performances to live up to. It's also very fulfilling to go to see a production of the show and see someone else play the role after you originated it. Some that I've done have been crap but others have been brilliant.
Yes, several.

ashley: I love that yout htreadjack your own thread! Awesome!
Ok, so other originals I was in: "Once Upon A Midsummer Night's Dream" (a 50's-style musical adaptation of the Shakespeare), "The Zore" (a musical about a meteorite that lands in a small town and changes everyone's behavior), "Ned and Nora's Excellent Adventure" (a screwball comedy/satire), "Mother Jones" (a musical about the turn-of-the-last-century labor activist), "Yucca Flats" (a "play with music" about nuclear testing in Nevada for which I wrote the music), "Animal" (about Jane Goodall - I played a Baboon!), and many others I'm sure I'm fogetting. And of course I've participated in tons of readings of new works as well. I love 'em!
my shows costumes were REALLY simple. mine was a tunic-y thing wth a patchwork skirt...which is what a lot of other peoples things were like too

I also did a reading of a show that someone I know wrote, called "The Wrong-side Cafe". He's hoping to get it produced somewhere, sometime soon.

My friend in high School wrote a One-act Musical which we performed for the school as a final my sophmore year. It was pretty entertaining. Not as exciting as all of yours! But it was fun for me. I think it's awesome that you all have had those opportunity's!!
Best wishes to all!!

Well, the show is still kind of being re-written, but I stared in a version of Bruce Coville's "The Dragonslayers." I played King Mildred, in a production where there were three casts, and then, a few months later, I performed in an all star production of that as King Mildred in a Broadway-sized theatre. It was amazing. But It was fun, and I might be doing the show next November again... I don't have pictures, but my costume was amazing.
Um...The Dragonslayers???
I was in that myself. The first professional production at Syracuse Stage. I was Elizar (and I'm on the CD).
I've done several original pieces. One of which was URINETOWN.
Tons of workshops, especially with Stuart Ostrow (that's how I know Mister Matt), Edward Albee, and the Alley Theatre.
Was in Jerry Bock and Jerry Sterner's workshop of 1040.
Was in the World Premiere of a Jerry Bock children's musical, THE MAGIC JOURNEY.
Was in the World Premieres of ZORRO THE MUSICAL and WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO BABY JANE?
