They don't like us working stiffs.

Posted: 6/18/08 at 12:45pmJust got back--couldn't believe how long the line was! If you bought a ticket you got a cast album and everyone was there to sign them. They were all super excited and, as always, cramazingly nice. I'm really interested to see how this show does on Broadway but with the turn out I saw today, I'd imagine quite well. Saw Seller and McCollum, Beresse, Christian Anderson, and Barret Foa.

Posted: 6/18/08 at 12:50pmI wouldn't read into the long line signifying how well it's going to do. These are hard-core fans, of which are in small supply to be able to fill a 1000 seat theatre every night.

And to be clear, I really want the show to succeed. How can you not root for these guys?

Posted: 6/18/08 at 2:00pmmaybe the big news is that there is no premium ticket policy.
#13re: Anyone going to the [tos] 'ticketganza'?
Posted: 6/18/08 at 2:10pmI was there shortly after the opening ceremony and from what I heard the premium ticket policy is that premium tickets will cost ( and this might not be exact) $2,500.01. You will get a tiara, a cape and a scepter and some other things I'm not too sure about. Obviously the premium ticket policy was a joke which leads me to believe that there isn't a premium ticket.

Haha, that sounds funny! I would have loved to be there.
According to telecharge though, there are premium seats being sold for $201.50.
I can't wait to see pictures!

Just got back as well :]
Even though the cast had to leave at 1pm for rehearsal, they kept the 1/2 price ticket line going and they all came out to greet everyone they wouldn't get to sign for.
They were all so infectiously excited and grabbed our arms as they ran down the line. I'll be getting my signed CD in the mail :]
Only let down was the 1/2 price tickets were only for the $100 seats. I had gone with the intention of buying 4 $26 seats for my friends and Im but alas my roommate and I will be going to opening night in $26 ("full price") seats.
Can't wait!
I toted my yellow balloon for the rest of my journey home, I only wish they were personalized for the show so I could have been advertising.

I totes went. I too, was sad about the lack of half-priced Rear Mezz or Balcony seats (but seriously, for weekday performances that would've been $13. I would've felt GUILTY spending that little).
I LOVE me some Susan. She walks down the line saying, "I'm touching you...I'm touching you...". And she did. And Hunter was there being crazy and hugging and touching people. I wasn't complaining. Mreow.
It was cool seeing everyone there (yay for Courtney Balan...thank God she's doing [tos], with Cry Baby just posting the closing notice). And getting free Rice Krispie Treats. The tickets are just the icing on the cake, since I'm planning on going multiple times anyway.
We let our yellow balloons go in Bryant Park. :)

I was right by the door when they came out so they all touched me as they came out, it was so sweet.
Heidi went "Hey [tos]sers!"

TOO FUNNY!!
https://www.broadwayworld.com/viewcolumn.cfm?colid=29074
The first new show of the 2008-09 Broadway season, [title of show] - an original musical about the making of an original musical - will introduce the new $2,501.50 "Extrava[tos] VIP Luxury" premium priced ticket, it has been announced by the show's producers.
The $2,501.50 "Extrava[tos] VIP Luxury" premium ticket will include a tiara and scepter, opera glasses, and the unprecedented option to have an NYU student attend [title of show] in your place and then describe the experience to the ticket-buyer. "Our elite ticket package patrons lead a jet-set lifestyle. Their time is precious and we at [title of show] get that. However, they are also the kind of people that need to appear "in the know." Our one of a kind student swap out option, makes the elite ticket package a win/win situation," says [title of show] librettist and star Hunter Bell.

Posted: 6/18/08 at 3:50pmAre they serious about that VIP ticket? Funny, but stupid. If I was spending $2,500, I'd hope I was seeing the show - every day of the week.
