Since Chester has been re-cast, I wont be needing my tickets.

I'm being over dramatic? How many people do you see who want their money back because an understudy is going on?

I bought tickets to see Chester. If he isn't in the show, I don't have any desire to see it.

I guarantee you if Chester was still in the show and he happened to be out for that performance, the theatre would not give you a refund.

Couldn't you try one of those ticket resale sites or even e-bay? You're more likely to get some idiot from one of those sites than you are here with one of us.

Not much of a theater lover to not see a show because 1 person is not in it.

We saw victor Victoria without Andrews & the understudy was great.

But if Chester was his/her ONLY reason to see it in the first place....I (kind of) see the poster's point.

For me, Shrek is one of those shows I'll PROBABLY get around to seeing...but it's not high up on my list. (Even though I adore Brain D'Arcy James)

I am actually a HUGE theater lover...I just finished my MFA (in acting) this past May. But I am NOT a Shrek fan...I saw only the first movie and that was enough for me.

I did, however see the show in Seattle because I am a fan of Chester's, and would have seen the show in new york because of Chester. If he's not in it, I see no reason to see it again.

I'm not into the theme park stuff unless I like a specific person in the cast.

I have seen All my Son's, Billy Elliot and Speed the Plow, within the last week and a half - if that shows my love for THEATER and not theme-parks at all...
