I don't see why you all have negative things to say about her. She has an amazing voice and is really talented! In that article, that happened around the time her grandfather died. I don't remember the full story, but Ariana responded to that article on her twitter (I think).

No one is full on hating lol she's just not active enough in the Broadway community to be consistently reported about. Her presence in the media is irrelevant to me. She's most likely not actively seeking any stage opportunities. Perhaps one day she'll come back to Broadway...maybe when a show needs a lift??

I agree that BWW's reporting on her is a little excessive - she's been in one Broadway show, so her theater connection a tenuous. Girl's got a hell of a set of pipes though.

She has the voice of a potential superstar, but she has no stage presence in any televised performances or concerts I've seen. Which is odd, considering that she has a background in theater and television.

She's too tiny and cute. While it's not a bad thing, it's not powerful and commanding like Beyonce. (Her voice does say differently though!) She's lovely, but put tons of dancers and fanfare on stage with her and she's swallowed whole. I think right now she's very "product of the media" meaning despite her own preferences, she's wearing the pony tail look and using the cute voice. Once she finds her ground in the industry, perhaps she will come into her own more.

Eh, I think people get their panties in a twist because she's now a pop star. I honestly don't see why it would matter. A Broadway credit is a Broadway credit and BWW news has always made odd choices. Nothing unusual happening here.

Yes! It was with Mika and also appears on his last album. I'm not crazy about her, but I do like that track. The video is cute as well.
