I don't necessarily think the reason is justified for the amount that they do, but she was in 13 on Broadway.
"Oh look at the time, three more intelligent plays just closed and THE ADDAMS FAMILY made another million dollars" -Jackie Hoffman, Broadway.com Audience Awards
Pretty much the under 25s. Not my taste but the girl has pipes.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
The under 25s? Can we reduce that to the teenagers?
"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022)
"Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009)
"Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000
More of an off topic board thread. She is ridiculous, annoying, and her hair weighs more than her. But, 12 year olds seem to like her so, I guess some people care.
Disney should make a musical for her. She already looks like Ariel if Ariel was a hooker.

Not sure why they still bring her up. I'm in that 25 and under category, and I'm not a fan. Not sure why she blew up in the first place. She does seem to sing well live though. I wouldn't mind if she was a strong supporter of theater, frequented shows, or even thought about coming back, but she's off doing her own pop culture thing.
That was last year when she debuted her first album. Go watch her special on MTV when they brought back Total Request Live just for her and check out the audience...
Justincharacter, considering you have to be 18 and up to be in the MTV studio .... it's not really a thing to base anything on. And that you know exactly when that picture was taken.....WOW.
"Ariana Grande's sophomore album, My Everything, is out today, and, well, it's no Pizza Hut. It's more airport Sbarro with the must rubbery cheese that has ever been placed on a pizza or pizza-like food. That cheese is lodged in her throat."

Max Martin made her sing that, even though she refused too, haha! It is true, you can't understand what she is singing at times, I can't deny that. She has this track on her newest album about a boy cheating on her with another boy which is a very clever song. You start to pick up the clues while listening.
Oh my gosh, not that story. Her grandfather recently died and they asked her about it, and she couldn't handle it so she just walked off. She was going to send a letter to them, but the people at MTV said they already left.
@SuttonRoss, her grandfather passed away a couple of days before that. I'm a big fan of hers and I have met her several times, most recently at the Today show last Sunday. She was extremley nice, every time that I've met her. She greeted all the fans that she could!
I do agree with you all about that it's weird that they post a lot about her because she was in one broadway show when she was younger.
